2011 Ford f150 Two women at front counter was very courteous and professional, very comfortable and helpful. Love the truck. My only complaint is Caroline wasted Two women at front counter was very courteous and professional, very comfortable and helpful. Love the truck. My only complaint is Caroline wasted my entire day today regarding detailing the truck and the truck was held up and never detailed. I left the truck at City Auto early this morning and this evening when I arrived to pick up the truck it was still not detailed at all. Caroline was nice but the ball was dropped on the detail of the truck and I left with a nasty truck. More

I wouldn't if I were you Bought a Tahoe with 80k miles on it. Shortly after making the FIRST payment the engine gave out out me. The diagnosed it as a collapsed lifter. After getting it back home I contacted City Auto and they said they'd like to get it to their shop to have a look, and that they would help me out. Their version of helping me out was a diagnoses as needing a replacement engine for the tune of $4,600 dollars. I informed them that it was diagnosed as a collapsed lifter by a Chevy dealer. My other option... 36 hour engine rebuild (36 x around $100 for shop time + parts). I feel really "taken care of". So needless to say this was my first and last time buying a car from them. More
Oh, Lord. Please stay away from this place. You will regret your purchase like I do. I went based on the Google reviews I read which are largely positive. Those just can't be real. Word of mouth says th regret your purchase like I do. I went based on the Google reviews I read which are largely positive. Those just can't be real. Word of mouth says this place is not a good place. I didn't learn that until I bought here and began talking about my experience with people. I traded a perfectly good car that was paid off (a car they gave me less than blue book for) and bought a car I thought I was getting a good deal on. I was wrong. Only after I purchased did I look up the kbb price for the car I bought: I paid $1,500 over the book value and then all their fees were another $2000. Unbelievable. The car was listed for $13,000 and I ended up financing over $14,000. It should have been listed for $11,500. However, I had a trade worth $2900 and I paid $400 down. By the time the finance guy shows you where to sign (he does not disclose any of the fees to you, you see them when you sign and he appears to be busy and bothered so you won't continue to question any of them). Their dealer fee is $450. They pressure you to buy a warranty and it implies that the cars are just not worthy of being driven off the lot without one. I had to refuse the warranty 7 times before he would let it go and stop haggling. He then moved on to GAP insurance. I declined that 5 times. I purchased a used car from another Murfreesboro dealer and they never mentioned a warranty or GAP insurance and I left that dealership knowing who financed my car and what every single fee I was charged was for. (There was only one fee with that dealer $250). That car was a dream and reliable and I got a FANTASTIC deal on it and even better treatment. This was the absolute worst car buying experience I have ever, ever had. I will never buy a car here again and I will not recommend them to anyone. I am having their name removed from the back of my car and I will tell everyone I possibly can to stay away from City Auto in Murfreesboro. I was ripped off and I am not happy I gave them my business. They clearly did not appreciate it. More
In April 2012 I bought a 2004 Ford Explorer from City Auto. The next day the ABS light came on and the salesman (Josh Huggins) said it was nothing to be concerned about as long as it didn't remain on all Auto. The next day the ABS light came on and the salesman (Josh Huggins) said it was nothing to be concerned about as long as it didn't remain on all the time. The advertised CD player also didn't work. It was replaced by me and I was reimbursed $100 of the $23O I spent on it. I was told it would be "included in the deal"? Two days after buying the service engine light came on. Josh Huggins had me take the truck for repairs. A speed sensor was replaced along with the EGR valve. Total cost of repairs was over $400. This was all covered under the warranty. The rental car I had to get for 3 days was at my own expense. The ABS light continued to illuminate on occasion while driving and the cruise control stopped working. In July the car had to be serviced because it was running hot. The repair cost over $300, almost $400. The air conditioner stopped cooling in July as well. The air conditioner service cost about $50. Not sure why that wouldn't be checked along with everything else that failed during the inspection City Auto says they perform on all cars. In November the service engine light came on but didn't stay on so it couldn't be diagnosed. No need because turns out the battery went dead because the alternator quit. The batter cost over $130 and the alternator cost over $240. With the onset of cold weather, I discovered the defroster doesn't work and the O/D off light would flash from time to time. I told City Auto about both because at this point I was tired of all the repairs. I spoke a few times with the General Manager, Stan Norton, who assured me City Auto wanted my continued business and wanted happy customers. They fixed the defroster but the O/D problem would only be fixed if it wasn't the transmission at half cost to me. The problem was the transmission and the cost is almost $3000 to repair it. Do not buy City Auto cars unless you have them THOROUGHLY checked out by a reputable repair shop. They sell junk that was either never inspected or never fixed after their inspection. I am not a happy customer and will never buy from them again. More
