Established in 1986 in Memphis, TN at 4932 Elmore Road, City Auto Sales, LLC opened on a 4-acre property doing business within the 4,000 square foot existing facility. Throughout the years, City Auto grew under the direction of a talented management team headed by founder and CEO David S. Andrews. In 2007, City Auto added new showroom space onto the original building, creating an 8,000 square foot dealership space and adding an additional 10 acres of land with the acquisition of adjacent property. As City Auto expanded, another adjacent property was purchased to provide two much needed buildings for additional office and sales space. The Memphis dealership has been continually updated, and a major remodeling in 2021 modernized the customer consultation area with individual computer stations and an expanded customer lounge complete with welcome area and coffee bar. With the success of the Memphis flagship location, City Auto launched a second dealership in 2011 in the fast-growing community of Murfreesboro, TN - home to Middle Tennessee State University and a thriving business community. At that time, City Auto purchased 4 acres at 1023 Bridge Avenue, and the dealership setup operations in the 5,000 square foot leased building original to the property. City Auto's growth in Murfreesboro made expanding necessary to meet demand and provide the staff and facilities to match customer expectations. In 2022, City Auto Murfreesboro realized its vision to expand with a ribbon-cutting for a new 27,000 square foot two-story facility at 1015 Bridge Avenue. Featuring a state-of-the-art 10-bay service shop, second floor offices, and 9,500 square feet of sales operations and showroom space, City Auto Murfreesboro is best-in-class among dealerships in the community. In 2023, City Auto Sales, LLC made a significant step into the manufacturer and franchise space welcoming Mitsubishi of North America to the Murfreesboro location.
