I took my 17 forester with ac issues and was quoted a whopping $1900 stating that I needed a new ac compressor. This was not the case as there was a bad solenoid that was a 1 hour fix to the tune of $180 whopping $1900 stating that I needed a new ac compressor. This past service I was unhappy with the communication and customer service I received from Flemington Subaru. I dropped my car off for an appointment in the morning on a Friday, was told at the time and customer service I received from Flemington Subaru. I dropped my car off for an appointment in the morning on a Friday, was told at the time of drop off that my car would be ready Friday afternoon between 4-5pm (oil change and check for a CID update). I communicated via text message around 4pm (because I had another appointment on Saturday afternoon that I could not miss) and was informed that my car was not brought into the shop yet. Friday afternoon, I was told the car would be ready sometime the next day. I asked for an estimate of what time the car would be ready (sent around 4:25pm on Friday) and received no response. I called Subaru on Saturday morning at 9am and there was no word on my car. The car was still not in the shop. It wasn’t until I offered to reschedule that appointment until my I felt like I was taken seriously. At this point, at around 11am on Saturday (around 24 hours after I dropped off my car for an appointment), my car was brought into the shop. When I came to pick up the car, I was in the lobby and the gentlemen that was communicating with me via text who was helping another customer did not even acknowledge my presence. I just was not happy with my service and I felt as though no one cared. I wish I went to a Shammy Shine where I can sit in my car as the staff change the oil in my car. I feel there would have been more value if I did that instead of coming to the Subaru dealer. I also asked a mechanic friend about the spark plugs, and he informed me that iridium in the spark plugs runs out every 12000 miles. So now I feel that there was unnecessary work done to my car. The only reason I would return to Subaru in Flemington is because HOW Gail and the manager helped out my wife when she had a serious issue with her car. More
