I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about a wonderful customer service experience I had with Wakenson. My wife and I purchased a 2022 Subaru Ascent and were amazed at how much he helped us. wonderful customer service experience I had with Wakenson. My wife and I purchased a 2022 Subaru Ascent and were amazed at how much he helped us. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and his pleasing personality made our time spent at Ciocca well worthwhile. He took his time to listen to us, facilitate the sale, and he followed up to make sure that there were no issues. I can't tell you how refreshing it was, in today's world, to have a person like Wakenson available. I wish every company was as responsive as Ciocca and I will spread the word about your company whenever I can. More
Met with Ron Iwanicki last week. Already familiar with reputation. His easy demeaner and product knowledge was evident. Result? We are now the proud owners of a 2023 Crosstrek. This is quite possibly the worst possible Subaru dealer for maintenance or repair. Technicians wrongly diagnose, damage residual components when performing repairs, provide inaccurate analysis, and do not for maintenance or repair. Technicians wrongly diagnose, damage residual components when performing repairs, provide inaccurate analysis, and do not properly correct issues. I have had my car back multiple times to have the transmission gasket repaired within 1yr/10k miles. All to then find that in 2K miles that they damaged the axle seals when replacing the transmission, causing the axle and front differential to leak. I have had the technician and service advisor state multiple times that brand new brakes that were replaced 2 days prior needed to be replaced due to wear to pass inspection. The suggested brake replacement (to replace brand new pads and rotors) was over $400. I had brought them to the car and embarrassed them when I showed them the brand new components, then had to speak with a manager that showed no empathy or remorse. They had to (try to) repair a faulty parking mechanism twice in a week because on inability to replace a simple part, failed to replace bolts to install the center console AND didn’t repair it properly the 2nd time which required myself to perform the repair personally. These are the major issues I have had over a few short years and under 60k miles of service. There have been many other minor issues mostly involving poor scheduling and poor vehicle reliability. In summary Ciocca has exhibited total negligence with respect to my vehicle’s repairs. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. I have notified and am in contact with Subaru of America to advise of these issues. More
This dealership does exactly what they say they will do. ..all the time.. from no pressure at buying transactions to covering the deductible on a fender bender. We dealt with Caleb Michaels. My lady told him from the get go While I was "otherwise detained" don't give us the usual xx or we will walk. Unfortunately that's all we got. Alt My lady told him from the get go While I was "otherwise detained" don't give us the usual xx or we will walk. Unfortunately that's all we got. Although he seemed genuine at the time it's clear he needs training. He followed up after a bad negotiation that ended up with us walking with a list of cars coming in he knew dang well we had no interest in and said it was a follow up to the voice message he left. He never called. We were dealing on a 2022 Crosstrek Limited. All the normal front end stuff. We test drove a like for like car, allowed them to look at ours and waited for the "numbers. That's where it it became the same old xx and didn't get better. I know used cars are at an all time premium and I researched the KBB value. I KNOW THE VALUE OF MY TRADE. They low balled by $6k below what was the KBB value then came back final offer 1 k more. We were told his manager said it was the "best he could do" He wasn't surprised when I said then we are done. Because we liked Caleb we did what I've never done this fast before. We told him the bottom line payment we were looking for at the acceptable loan term and the don't ask for more down payment. They didn't budge one inch and went down the road with "MUCH" larger down payments and suggested leasing. We refused it all. We went another extra mile because we liked Caleb and asked about the 2021 we drove that was a loaner. It has 17k Plus miles on it. He came back and said it wouldn't make much difference. This was an add insult to injury slap in the face for they were saying their 2021 used car with 17k miles on it was worth as much as new but my 2019 with 29k was worth 5k less than KBB I edited the review and dropped to the lowest stars allowed after talking to Sean Jenkins the GM for the following reasons. GM was polite and did not hesitate to say what we were offered was way to low and bumped it another 3K which at current KBB trade estimate which went up was still 3k low. He went into how they use 4 different things to value a car and take an average. He stated KBB will use auction prices and the highest they find. Excuse me but cars are at auction for a reason. Bids on auction cars will be lower than actual value by default. I didn't want to get into a debate with Sean. He seemed genuine but was still spewing the same old xx. He also told me why would anyone by used for close to what we paid new for. I again held my tongue not debating that new Kona prices have gone up dramatically. New models are approximately 5k more than I paid for mine with similar options. If you have a trade avoid Ciocca Subaru and likely Ciocca as a whole, Maybe you can get a decent deal if just paying cash or financing with out a trade but they will low ball your trade and justify it with all the typical xx. ----------------------------------------------- Follow up Since I was unable to find anything I could get my hands on in under 3-6 months elsewhere I kept beating down Ciocca (so to speak) claims my trade in was worth so little. I showed them irreputable proof from several sources the actual trade value and noted I was being nice asking less. They finally reached out via text (no idea who I was talking to since I had been through two salesmen, a manager and the GM) stating they contacted their sister dealership and bumped the trade in offer to what I was asking. I reached out via Email and phone to the last person that contacted me and after 4 days received zero response. I went back to text and found out after days of back and forth it was the original salesman only after calling once again and having him pick up. We finally came to acceptable terms. Even after all that it was still arduous when the car finally arrived and we went to pick it up. 1: It took over 3 hours from showing up to driving away. 2: I had to manually write down all the information on my current loan. Seriously? I've bought many a new car over the years and never seen the dealership incapable of pulling it up electronically without me writing it all down 1st 3: The finance guy was very cool but even with that the paperwork was another fight. I stopped him in his tracks before he went sailing along asking the monthly payment. He came back with the highest of the range sent me. I told him if it wasn't the lowest we're done. The salesman said it would be, the lowest was the number we pushed from day one. He was apologetic and stated he had no authority to change it. I said no hard feelings but we're leaving. He went to management and came back stating he'll take our word for it, they added to the trade value which at this point is finally close to the real trade value and adjusted the numbers. 4: He tried selling us the extended warranty (standard SOP). I said he can stop we're not interested and the price is to high. He said let me do my magic and came up with a much lower number. I talked it over with my wife because it appeared n the surface the revamped number to be a good deal at $1350 for 7 years bumper to bumper. Shame on me my wife had to point out they bumped from 72 months to 75. The price was actually $2500. He tried to show it was only $2k but math doesn't lie. We refused since a: The price was far higher than 3rd party after the fact b: The numbers were skewed and misleading c: a number of the things he touted that were included were actually free without it (2 of the 8 oil changes , waiving the deductible if we come to them in case of collision, the biggest being all cars are basically bumper to bumper under the warranty because they are responsible for defective parts and totally unnecessary GAP insurance since our trade lowered the financed amount $10k) Side note: I told the salesman we did not want the dealership sticker on the car. He sent us a picture showing it not there. It was there when we picked it up. The process excluding waiting for the car to be onsite was two plus weeks. It was a fight every step of the way getting my trade in fairly valued. They started at $16k. It was $22.2k when all said and done. Good thing I'm an educated buyer. I shudder to think how many people are leaving thousands on the table because they don't do their research. In my case I would have lost $6.2 thousand. Ciocca Subaru has one thing going for it. Somehow they are able to keep a number of cars on order and not months out before on the lot. Their sales tactics are typical xx, they have no problem misleading and/or out right lying about things and it appears they're backend is antiquated. They will certainly screw you over in a LARGE was on your trade if you aren't careful and educated then back it up with more xx They say let the buyer beware and that's the case here but also let the trade in customer be more aware.
