I advised the sales associate and business manager upfront that I was test driving different manufacturers before I reached a decision and that I was a few months out from making a purchase. The test drive went well - really liked the car. It went sour for me when the sales associate tried to pressure me into leaving a deposit for a car I wasn't even sure I wanted and after I specifically told him I wasn't ready to make a decision yet. This tactic really put me off. In my 22 years of purchasing vehicles, I've never had a sales person pressure me into leaving a deposit. I'll be taking my business to another dealership. More
