Lack of Communication I purchased a brand new 2016 Ford Explorer and realized that one of my taillights was burned out. I took it Ciocca Ford Service and they didn't have t I purchased a brand new 2016 Ford Explorer and realized that one of my taillights was burned out. I took it Ciocca Ford Service and they didn't have the part in stock so they had to order it. Once the part was in, I scheduled an appointment to have the taillight replaced. I was initially told by the service adviser that Ford required photos and an approval, but was later told by the same service adviser that he verified that no photos or approval would be necessary and that I would be out of there within 30 to 45 minutes of my arrival. Fast forward almost TWO HOURS later and my car was finally ready. Apparently the "experienced" service adviser Mike Kardane never came out to tell me that they definitely indeed needed to take photos and get an approval from Ford. Here's what they did: 1. Removed the defective taillight. 2. Installed the new replacement taillight. 3. Removed the new replacement taillight. 4. Reinstalled the defective taillight. 5. Took photos and sent them to Ford for approval. 6. Once approved, they removed the defective taillight for the second time. 7. Then they installed the new replacement taillight for the second time. Once again, I was sitting in the waiting room for almost TWO HOURS for something that I was told would take no longer than 30 to 45 minutes. The service adviser never communicated with me until the repair was finished almost TWO HOURS later. I understand things can happen in the course of doing business, but at least give me the courtesy of communicating it with me instead of not being respectful of my time. Then to make matters worse, he was unable to give me a receipt for the warranty work performed and stated that he would send it to me in the mail. Come on, seriously? You can print a receipt for the work you performed? And shame on you FORD MOTOR COMPANY for requiring photos to be taken and an approval required to replace a DEFECTIVE part on a brand new vehicle that wasn't even a few weeks old. It sucks to spend almost $50,000.00 on a new car and be subjected to a stupid corporate policy. What part of DEFECTIVE don't you understand? I'm very disappointed with my service experience. More
20k service everything worked fine and on time. As an opportunity to improve I would only recommend to create a waiting room with no tv, so people could (perheps) everything worked fine and on time. Fast service I needed to get my truck serviced and I did not have any available time except for the day I was hoping to make the appointment. Recall notice repair I scheduled a recall notice repair for our 2014 Ford Escape. Appointment was given for 8:00 AM at my request in order to allow me to wait because I l I scheduled a recall notice repair for our 2014 Ford Escape. Appointment was given for 8:00 AM at my request in order to allow me to wait because I live in Macungie. All the Ciocca personnel advised me that the repair could take 3 to 5 hours and offered me the shuttle service or a free rental car. I opted to wait as I was not working that day. After getting promptly checked-in at 8 by Mike Kardane he advised me that without complications my wait should be about 3 hours. At 10:30 Tim Adams came to give me the pleasant news that my vehicle was ready! Ciocca service is the best. More
