Rude salesman, extreme overpricing & wait time on car repair My out of state nephew's car broke down, it was an emergency situation and after calling ahead and was told we could bring it to them, we had it towed My out of state nephew's car broke down, it was an emergency situation and after calling ahead and was told we could bring it to them, we had it towed to Flemington JEEP. We had been given an estimate to repair it, and it was very high, so Instead of repairing we were considering trading in on another car. The salesman Lou Avitabile made it clear by his comments that he was not interested in working with us, in fact he made a snide remark to his fellow salesman even before he said hello to us. After reviewing his website he told us he didn't have any car available for us, and after checking with his service people he said they did not want it as a trade in. But the way he spoke and his attitude was insulting and demeaning. The service people got the car on Wed late afternoon and it took them till 4:00 Sat to complete the repairs. After getting home, my nephew checked with his garage repair people who looked up the cost of the repair parts and labor and he was told that Flemington JEEP way overcharged us. They said it should have cost us between $2500 and $2800. Jeep Flemington charged us over $4200. And that it should not have taken more than a day and a half for the repair. I do live locally, and with this kind of service I will never buy a car from them or recommend them to anyone. More

Service issues on Sahara jl that they won’t acknowledge So I wrote a review back in April about a thumping noise coming from the rear of my Sahara. I did acknowledge they were helpful and tried to resolve the issue. Since then I have read many forum discussions where many with Sahara and sport and limited slip differentials have the exact same problem with the rear end thumping. There are a few dealers in the country who have acknowledged that the issue is clearly the lsd and the pinion gears and have fixed the issue. NOT this dealer. They maintain its aftermarket wheels and tires (the FCA corporate line of refusal to admit they have a major issue). So I sent many of the complaints to the dealership and asked if they would admit the issue. Quick answer was no. Call FCA. I have found other dealerships that know about the problem and have contacted FCA but it’s not simple since some either don’t know or won’t admit. Hopefully anyone who reads this and is having issues or unaware of the issue checks it out before something serious happens. So I would have liked my dealer to have done what others have done but they stick with corporate crap. I originally wrote a negative review back in April because they refused to admit the problem but they are nice guys and basically begged me to rewrite the review. I did and am now sorry because I hope no one has to go through this when there are dealers who will try to fix an issue they are aware of. Just keep looking and avoid the service at this place at all costs. More

Jeep Rubicon wandering issue ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE SERVICE. I brought my 2018 Jeep Rubicon JLUR in for the 2nd time for a wandering issue that has yet to be resolved. This is a long ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE SERVICE. I brought my 2018 Jeep Rubicon JLUR in for the 2nd time for a wandering issue that has yet to be resolved. This is a long story that unfortunately plagues a lot of new Jeep JL wranglers. It is a serious issue that makes the steering feel "loose" or like you are fighting to control it and always moving the steering wheel left to right to keep the vehicle going straight which can be scary at times The first time my Jeep was brought in it had a little over 1500 miles on it and I brought it back due the Jeep wandering all over the road, the steering wheel not being in the center or off centered and some of the hardware in the front suspension (ball joints) were hand tight, granted they could not come off due to a cotter pin that prevents from happening. I had also requested that they check the steering software in the computer to make sure it was updated and the correct version was installed. I had received a call stating that my jeep was ready to be picked up and everything was fine. When I received the paperwork along with the Jeep I was told that the reason it was wandering was due to installing larger tires and that the steering wheel was centered and everything was checked in the front suspension and all was tightened to correct specification, along with a updated software version installed for the steering. First was a visual inspection of the front suspension components and the ball joint castle nuts were still only hand tight and still had the factory cotter pins installed. I had asked about centering the steering wheel and was told when it was driven across the parking lot it was straight. The correct way to check is by putting the vehicle on a alignment rack to center the steering wheel, not driving it across a parking lot. That`s why they call it a alignment machine, it aligns the steering components so they are set to factory specifications and are lined up straight. I asked for it to be put on the alignment machine and was told everything is fine and it drove down the road straight and the steering wheel fine. I was sent on my way, and after 5 minutes of driving the Jeep was wandering all over the road and the steering wheel was off center, if you moved the steering wheel to center while driving it would make the jeep actually change lanes. At this point as a mechanic I knew that I had to find out why this was happening to my Jeep. I began to research this wandering issue on the internet and found out that I am far from alone, there are a lot of Jeep owners that have reported this issue and have gone as far as reporting it to the NTSB. I continued to drive my Jeep while researching what is the correct fix and there is a lot of information available on this subject, from people using the Lemon Law in their state to the dealer actually buying the Jeep back from the owner. I had contacted a representative at Jeep Cares which is a Jeep based customer care facility for when you are having problems with your Jeep and the dealer service department is not willing or able to fix the issue, Jeep Cares will get involved and be in contact with the dealer to help them with finding the resolution to the issues you are having with your Jeep. SECOND TIME AT THE DEALER... I had driven my Jeep for a additional 600 miles which puts it at 2149 miles total on it. The entire time it is wandering all over the road. I spoke with Jeep Cares and told them the problem I was having with my Jeep and also told them about information that I had found in the form of a Star Bulletin, this is similar to a TSB but it is more vehicle specfic based on manufacturing dated of parts and any other information that has been found regarding your vehicle. I made a appointment and dropped it off on 5/10/19 for the Star bulletin repair guidelines and wandering all over the road along with a new issue which is called death wobble which causes the steering wheel to shake violently from left to right when you hit a bump or uneven surface in the road. After a few days had gone by I had received a call from Jim who heads up the service department. Much to my amazement he had found that my Jeep need to have the steering box replaced along with a item that is called a track bar, the track bar keeps the axle assembly centered underneath the vehicle while the suspension moves up and down while driving. This also helps keep the vehicle driving straight down the road by allowing the front axle and rear axle to track in a straight line together. Pretty interesting that there were not any issues the first time and now it needed a new steering box and other parts. The Jeep steering issue has not been resolved by replacing these parts. This is a to be continued type of review due to the Jeep still wandering all over the road and pulling hard to the left when you remove your hands from the steering wheel More
