Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton is a shining example of why people hate dealerships and the dealership experience; misleading, lack of attentiveness, lack of professionalism, a gross lack of respect for the ve people hate dealerships and the dealership experience; misleading, lack of attentiveness, lack of professionalism, a gross lack of respect for the vehicle they are selling, lack of respect for the buyer, an overall lack of due-diligence, and zero interest in making things right. They posted a new 2024 2SS Camaro for sale on CarGurus; The car was listed as having 25 miles, and the price seemed right. I gave them a call, let them know I was interested, and set up an appointment to go see (and buy) the car. My friends and I traveled from Long Island, New York, to Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton. An almost 2 hour drive, one way. They brought the car out, and the first red flag was they told me “drive it as hard as you want, as long as you want”. Why is this a red flag? Because I can almost guarantee they told whoever wanted to test drive the car the same thing. Were other test drivers as respectful and responsible as me? Who knows. $55,000 out-the-door is by no means “cheap”, and for a brand new car I'm looking to purchase, I expect some level of respect for the thing. After the test drive, one of my friends that accompanied me (who works in auto sales), told me to open the hood, as well as check the mileage. Upon opening the hood, we saw oxidation that is uncharacteristic of a “brand new” car. This was confirmed when I checked the mileage and saw the car had 96 miles on it. I’ve taken delivery of other, cheaper, brand new cars with 5 miles on the dash. I was even going to be okay with the 25-30 miles, as I understand cars are moved around. For them to advertise it as 25 miles, then try to sell me a 96 mystery-mile car is misleading and dishonest. The last straw was when I was looking at the car from a distance, and noticed a dent on the rear quarter panel. Upon closer inspection, that one dent turned into a cluster of 3 dents on the rear quarter. The salesman said that they didn’t even know those dents were there - mind you, I spotted them from inside the dealership while looking out onto the car. We did another walk around of the car and found 3 more dents on the driver-side C pillar ABOVE the original cluster I saw. My friend also noticed a sharper dent on the A-pillar of the car. Dents in this location are notorious for being difficult/impossible to remove due to the lack of access to that panel. How can you try to sell me a $55,000 vehicle without doing enough due-diligence to notice and fix AT LEAST 7 dents that my friend and I noticed from INSIDE the dealership, looking out. When we pointed out the damage and high mileage, we were told that they had no room to budge on the price. They could/would not go below MSRP for a “brand new” vehicle with more mileage and damage than advertised. They told us if we didn’t buy the car, someone else would. As we were getting ready to leave, all of a sudden there was a “today only price” of $1000 off! Here’s the thing; $1000 off a $55,000 OTD vehicle, will barely (if at all) cover the cost of a quality Paintless Dent Repair technician to look over the whole car - let alone the loss of MY time and the additional hassle I would need to take on. $1000 will also not cover the lack of trust and confidence I now have for this dealership. $1000 does not even come close to buying me peace of mind that this vehicle was respected and cared for under Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton. All in all - Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton wasted my time, my friends’ time, and my money in gas and tolls - to try and sell me a car that was falsely advertised, damaged, car. Be it incompetence, or deliberate lack of due-diligence to make a quick sale - trying to sell a “brand new” vehicle with almost quadruple the advertised miles AND damage is unacceptable. Do not waste your time here. DO NOT waste your money here. Go somewhere where you, your time, your money, and the vehicle you want to purchase, are all respected. More
Unbelievable, that's what people say when I tell them my experience with Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton. It's hard to imagine bringing your vehicle to a dealership in June, and by September they still haven' experience with Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton. It's hard to imagine bringing your vehicle to a dealership in June, and by September they still haven't worked on it, nor had they contacted you regarding the progress. My advice to anyone thinking about bringing their vehicle to Ciocca for service, DON’T. I had a family member working at Ciocca along with several people I know, and can honestly say I'm embarrassed saying that I know they work at Ciocca. If Gregg Ciocca ends up reading this, be forewarned, the people at Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton are running your business into the ground. I've called dozens of times to check on the status of my vehicle, to never have one employee pick-up the phone. the only way they would respond to me is if I physically went to the dealership. Pathetic. My last 3 vehicles were purchased at a Ciocca dealership, and they will be the last. More
I brought my 2018 Malibu in for service after calling GM about losing power steering while driving. They said to bring it in for service so I brought it to Ciocca where I purchased the car brand new I was o about losing power steering while driving. They said to bring it in for service so I brought it to Ciocca where I purchased the car brand new I was overdue for an oil change so I asked them to also do and oil change. I got service advisor Josh Miller, He sent me a video and maybe the issue was the key fod that needed a battery. Well that couldn't be because that wasn't the one I use everyday it was an extra one I had in my bedroom well bring the other ones in and will check their battery. batteries in the other key fods were fine. problem not resolved when I'm driving home I check my oil gage and it is at 75percent dont really know it he changed the oil or not, paid for it. then yesterday I opened my hood and saw that the window wash was never filled either. I guess they think because i'm an older women I'm stupid. I called the service manager twice and never got a call back. I think your Josh Miller is a scammer not a mechanic. Don't know what my options are More

They held it for 3 days before I called to check what was going on , to find out their tech had been out and would be for another week. I had to go and get it and take it somewhere else. Totally low balled me when I came to sell the car back to them, and then trying to get a refund on the service contract is impossible. I've been trying to get hold of their finance department for 2 weeks. This place never returns a phone call and when you call them, all you get is voice mail! So much for customer service being their top priority!! Awful experience every time I have to interact with them! More
This market has sent me from dealer to dealer and most salesman I have met have wanted nothing to do with me. When I walked through the door at Ciocca, I was greeted by my salesman Zach and he was a completely different experience. He sat down with me and exhausted every option possible until he found me a car that fit my needs and my budget. It was no hassle and no back and forth. This was my greatest buying experience and I will be back! More
False advertising of prices they add on items that are only on the car/window Never disclosed before going to dealers. They will send you the links online to pricing that is without dealer add ons. The only on the car/window Never disclosed before going to dealers. They will send you the links online to pricing that is without dealer add ons. The prices they advertise the cars for they are unwilling to sell for. They add on items Such as wheel locks 199.00. And all weather mats 399.00. Kyri responded to my request for the price of the vehicle before going to the dealership with the links to the vehicle that do not include these added on items. Joe Thompson when questioned said that the addons are only on the window of the vehicle. The only way for a customer to get the real price of the vehicles is to look at the window of the car. No where else will you see the added on items that the dealer add ons . More
Brought my SUV in for a transmisson Problem. The service writer said that it was abused and the warranty won't cover it and charged me for the Diagnosis. This was a GM SERTA unit 3 yr 100,000 mi The service writer said that it was abused and the warranty won't cover it and charged me for the Diagnosis. This was a GM SERTA unit 3 yr 100,000 mileage warranty They lied about it and tried to pull a fast one by making by trying to get us to buy a new trans. Took it to another dealer who diagnosed it and replaced the transmission without question. it had 36000. miles still left on the warranty. will never go back there again they are dishonest and do not honor GM polices and procedures. Don't go there unless its just and oil change. Knowing them they'll leave the filter lose, and blow your engine, then blame it on the customer More
I am currently having a nightmare and frustrating experience with this dealership. It started back in August ‘21 that I am still adamantly trying to resolve to this day end of May ‘22. The main issu experience with this dealership. It started back in August ‘21 that I am still adamantly trying to resolve to this day end of May ‘22. The main issue isn’t about the purchase of my truck, so I have no beef with my sales guy but the customer service after the sale and the run-around I’m receiving with their accounting department. As a business owner starting a family I initially went in to upgrade and purchase a new truck. I purchased a truck in August 2021 and made a trade in . After consulting with the sales manager, I agreed to a slight increase to my monthly payment for warranty packages. Very shortly after, 3 weeks in fact, I canceled those warranty packages within the 30 day purchase date. I had noticed a discrepancy between what the bank finance statement had, and what was agreed to when signing documents at the dealership, and they did not match. After going to the dealership three days in a row (Saturday, Tuesday & Wednesday ) asking the same question, “why was my final bill higher?” No help could be offered and explanations were unavailable to help. On the third day, after 3 hrs it was explained. In comparison with the itemized product sheet with my auto finance bill, I saw that the total value added was $12000. A combination of warranty packages of average $7,000 plus $1800 to the finance charge for that increase, plus average $2000 on the tax for this packages. Disclosed before sale was the monthly increase and a choice in comparison of plans and after 5 hrs of staring at numbers things were starting to look the same. I take responsibility on that being my fault for not properly reading it over. But this is where the nightmare began. I told the dealership that the five warranty products attached to the sale of the truck I wanted canceled, and get my full refund returned to the bank. It was well within my right to do so as this was within the 30 day trial period. I was then told “No problem it would take up to three months to have the 3 rd party warranty company return the money to dealership and they would place it back in the bank.” Case closed or so I taught. After month 4 in December, I saw no movement and reached out to the 3rd warranty Company (EG Assurance) to discover that 4 out of 5 products were canceled and the money was returned to the dealership. The 5th product was left on the account, In which I was able to personally cancel by providing proof I signed papers to cancel within the 30 day purchase date. Upon receipt of proof the entire quantity of the 5th product (value $4400) a percentage of the money owed, ONLY from then was returned to my auto finance bank directly. The previous 4 products’ finances which include the tax and the percentage of finance charge (value $6700) were sent to the dealership and I had to now follow up with them. From this point, I still haven’t received the full amount the dealership was said to return. After getting nowhere on the phone, and again physically going and waiting to be seen, the dealership told me they were experiencing difficulties with my case. These difficulties were blamed/ directed towards their accountant, and I was told because of that, and change in accounting teams getting up to speed they couldn’t resolve anything or/ review anything. It is now the end of month 9 , almost 10 months and I have not seen the over $6,000 owed to me; yet, I have been paying the extra interest every month and have paid the extra charge on a finance package that was supposed to be $37,000 but instead has increased to $49,000. How is this ok? I tried to do it normally, but now in month 9 it’s unacceptable and now it’s time to go a different route. More
