I bought an extended warranty for my car in 2015. It was a CNA Advance Tech with Seals warrant. It cost a little over $3000 and was supposed to cover “bumper to bumper“ issue. I have a $100 deductible when I take my car in for the diagnosis and repair. I was given a copy of the brochure and the carbon copy of the signed contract. The original documents were said to have been mailed in to CNA. I have used this extended warranty once prior at a different shop and my car was fixed with a $100 deductible. When I took my car in to be smogged, I was told it had a housing and adapter oil leak. I was told I had to take my vehicle to the dealer I purchased my warranty from because they had the original documents from 2015 and today, CNA does not usually cover oil leaks however they could have in 2015. I called, explained my situation, and was told I had to make an appointment to have a diagnosis done by them before they could schedule a repair. I live an hour away, planned to wait 2hrs for the diagnosis, and schedule the repair. When I got there, after waiting 20 minutes for assistance, I was told they had no information on my extendEd warranty. They wanted me to provide it before they could do anything. Luckily I had it in my car. After they entered my warranty information in their system and verify that it was still active, I was informed they were really behind and I would either have to leave my car overnight and potentially the weekend or I could reschedule my appointment. I secured a ride since their car service didn’t go out to where I live. I was then told I had to sign a work order that I agreed to pay $207 for each of the two issues they were supposed to looking a which totaled $414. When I told them I only had a $100 deductible, I was told that if CNA denied both issues I had to pay the diagnostic. If they denied 1 issue, I would have to pay $207 plus $100 for the deductible for the other issue even though they are related. If they accept both issue, I only have to pay $200. The combined parts to fix both connecting issues is $65. The previous shop only charged the $100 deductible and said all diagnostics were covered which I told the. I was told that it was because the repair that the shop I used was fixing a covered issue. I decided to leave. My business is obviously something they don’t want. More

Was worried about the time I would be without my vehicle and also the expense. Garrett and Lisa were helpful and the estimate was more than I anticipated.
