Brad, we purchased the Escape at auction on July 23rd from Manheim-Pittsburgh. It was listed online with 'no smoke odor' in the online description. We get the car here, and do not smell smoke, nor do we see any signs that would lead us to believe it had been smoked in (yellowing window tint, cigarette burns in fabric, etc). We had no reason to believe any differently. When you asked if it had been smoked in, I first pulled the auction condition report, then I went out and got in the car, started it, and turned on the A/C then the heat on full blast; I did not smell any smoke, so we relayed the information to you. We weren't trying to hide anything from you. I would've gladly covered a cabin air filter for you. As far as your paperwork is concerned, before we could mail you the paperwork we had to receive the title from the auction house. I am sorry for the delay. If you have any further questions or concerns, I would be more than happy to listen to them. -Nick Anderson
