I spoke with 2 Just a very poor experience over all. 1 star simply because the car I purchased is fantastic. 1.) This is a 2 hour drive for me. I spoke with 2 different people to confirm the car I wanted to look at was available. Next day i go to drive down and the add online is gone. I call to confirm car is there. They say yes and they have me scheduled for an appointment. I show up and the dealer asks me what I am there for... They call up a random salesmen who has no idea if the car is there. He tells me a price off the top of his head 6k more than what i was told the day before. Luckily the idiots left an add up for a manual version of the same car at 52k and agreed to the correct price. They promptly took down the manual add as we started talking price. 2.) Fee after fee after fee after fee. I spent 58k all said an done for a car listed at 52.9k. I was charged nearly 3k in extra fees, all of which i was told i couldnt buy the car without. Security etching on the window, documentary fees, dealer prep fees, etc. I bought the car as it was still the best deal around but my god do they nickle and dime you. 3.) Fasto and Don the salesman and finance manager have some of the worst customer service skills I've ever seen in my life. Fasto the salesman didn't offer to turn the car on, test drive it, sit in it, anything. He took me outside to look at it from outside the car and then immediately talked price. I was there for nearly 3 hours the first day and spent 2 hours of it sitting at a Fasto's desk by myself while Fasto talked to other associates. Don was pretty much worthless as well. I had an appointment set up to come in and sign the paperwork. I showed up and had to wait 40 minutes for Don to be ready. Why did I have to wait when I had an appointment. Lastly, once I informed him I wasn't buying the worthless extra insurance/rim insurance (they wanted 6k...mopar sells the same thing with longer years/better milage for 2k) he basically called me an idiot. I will add that another finance manager was in his office 5-10 ft from me/Fasto. When I refused to have them run my credit for a loan the guy yelled from his office about how i was paying extra fees through a credit union, didn't even have the decency to get up and come speak with me. 4.) I purchased the car on 7/19. They didn't file any paperwork for plates or title until 8/5. I personally had to call 5 times for information on where my plates were. Every time i was given different answers, 3-4 weeks, 6-10 weeks, 2-3 weeks. Fasto told me he would look into and call me back, never did. I received my plates today on the 9th. It took 4 days from them actually filing the paperwork to me receiving my plates. 5.) The last straw was being told on top of already paying $122.50 document delivery fee I would have to pay another $20 for my plates to be mailed to me. They couldn't even spare the less than $20 dollars it costs to fed ex me my plates after paying them 58k for a car. Again if this wasn't my dream car I would have walked when they tried to bait and switch me at the get go. I'm happy I have the car but unless its your dream car do not shop here. More

Snake oil salesmen Met with a sales rep and did not agree to an offer, after I left and was driving home Kenneth Gillsteed called me back with an offer which I agreed. Met with a sales rep and did not agree to an offer, after I left and was driving home Kenneth Gillsteed called me back with an offer which I agreed. Scheduled a pickup the following day, confirmed pickup, obtained insurance to only have the finance manager tell me they could no longer honor the deal and wanted more money. Not sure what kind of business they are running but to take a deal that far and pull back is bush league. I will spread the word to anyone about Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Paramus as I’ve never been treated so unfairly. A terrible business model and horrible customer service. Do your self a favor and stay away More
Horrific Service I was a regular customer who leased 3 Jeeps from this dealership. The salesman for my deal lied to me and told me there was no way for him to see how I was a regular customer who leased 3 Jeeps from this dealership. The salesman for my deal lied to me and told me there was no way for him to see how many payments I had left on the lease I was returning even though I leased my previous Jeep from them. As such, they missed one of the payments to pay off my lease return. 4 months later Chrysler tells me they will damage my credit for the missed payments and also wanted a $350 disposition fee that I was never told about when I leased my new truck. This was never resolved and my credit still showed that I have an unresolved balance with Chrysler. It affected a closing for a property I was trying to purchase and had been a daily nightmare for now 5 months. Stay far away from this dealership. After months of trying to contact a manager, they told me there is nothing they can do to even recover the $395 disposition fee they neglected to tell me about. More
Had the car, just not the service I expected As the old saying goes ‘buyer beware’. This is my personal experience, your results may vary obviously. I stopped into see a 2016 Dodge Durango which I eventually purchased from Rt4 Dodge of Paramus. It was a vehicle I found online with the price of $27999. Upon arriving at the dealership I was given the salesman Tom Pfister who I showed my Carfax print out and online listing for the car to. He walked me out to the car and we took a brief look at it. I had only initially wanted to see the car as I had business dealings in the area and I told him in advance that this was the case. He did not know much about the vehicle and as I asked him questions he kept reviewing the window sticker to confirm what I was saying was correct. He did not know the certified pre owned would increase the warranty to 7 years but after double checking the sticker, I was right again. Needless to say I took it for a test drive and immediately they wanted to four square out my information to close the deal. They told me there was a $1000 dealer prep fee. I asked what that fee was for on a used car. He told me it was make sure I was given both keys, and the car had gas and fluids. I jokingly said so if I don’t pay the prep fee then I don’t get those things? Needless to say they eventually they dropped that ridiculous upcharge. They wanted $878.19 for doc and registration fees. I told everyone else charges at most $500 for doc fees so why are yours so high? The answer was they were standard practice and if I wanted the car I would pay them. I wanted a working finance rate so I told them to run it to see where we were at numbers wise per month. I gave them permission not once, but twice to run my credit and signed a waiver saying so we could get a working finance number to see where we were at on the final price. The finance manager came over and explained it would hurt my credit and I said that’s fine, I just wanted a rate to work with. The said it was 7.99% for my credit score. I was shocked and told them I would have to come back another day after researching my options. What I found out the next day from Tom was that they never even ran my score because they didn’t think I was a serious buyer. Tom and I went back and forth via text all day and I told him the following Monday if the car was still there I would get a co-signer to come help lower the rate and we could perhaps work out the deal. I wanted the vehicle and maybe that is the problem. It was the color and had the features that I could not find in other dealerships around and I needed a car for work as I had been renting for a few weeks previous. So cut to the end of the story, I got a co-signer with excellent credit, combined our 800 score and 690 score only got us a 5.89. Tom had thought we would get something in the 4.5% range but he doesn’t work for finance so I’ll excuse his excitement for lack of knowing the market I guess. I ended up buying the extended warranty not knowing it wasn’t a factory warranty as the Mopar brochure I was given recommended and instead they use a 1.5 star rated by Consumer Affairs company called Fidelity for the claims. George (Jorge) said it would cover bumper to bumper for the 7 years and that with all the electronics in the vehicle it was a ‘must have’. The contract I signed had an ‘optional’ window etching fee of $200. I said I don’t want to pay the $200 because it was optional. They said the car already has it you so you have to pay the fee. I said well if the first person who purchased the car paid it, why do I have to pay for it yet again? The answer I was given was if you want the car then you have to pay the fee even though it says optional on the contact. So I got a car which so far makes me happy. The experience at the dealership was painful. It took over 8 total combined hours from the initial visit to the closing of the deal. It took multiple people running credit checks and haggling for nickel dime stuff and nothing was done to enhance the deal whatsoever other then removing the dealer prep fee which I guess is supposed to make me feel good. Tom was decent, had a good business manor but was completely unhelpful in getting anything done on the price since it was ‘already on sale’. So if they have the car you want, be warned, research the warranty company, fight the dealer prep fee and make sure you know the NJ doc fee and motor vehicle costs ahead of time. They even called me up a week later to ask for a five star review. Needless to say they are getting less than that because that is what they earned. More
