This is hands down the worst experience I've encountered in any service setting. The service advisor, Anthony M., made several conflicting comments about the status of my vehicle. My dash camera was rolling in any service setting. The service advisor, Anthony M., made several conflicting comments about the status of my vehicle. My dash camera was rolling the entire time and the footage told an entirely different story and time line of the progress of my vehicles repair. Even after my vehicle was completed and stating the alignment had be fixed, I'm driving down the road with a crooked steering wheel worse than when I brought the vehicle in. I checked the dash camera and the vehicle was never even test driven after the alignment. The alignment machine may say it's straight, but you still need to adjust the toe angle to make sure the steering wheel is centered! My car was in the shop for nearly three weeks and they claimed to not have any loaner vehicles available... This dealership prides themselves on being the biggest CDJR dealer in Bergen County, yet claim they only have 5 loaner cars available and that for three weeks, not a single loaner was returned. Having worked in the automotive industry for a decade myself, specifically in service, I know how much customer satisfaction index (CSI) matters, not only for the reputation, but these surveys corelate to financial incentives and performance goals. I asked my service advisor and the service manager, Alex Vargas, to try to make things right by repairing my vehicle so that I could leave a positive review, but they have not returned my calls even after 3 voicemail and 3 emails. Final word of advice for the advisor, Anthony. You seem to still be "green" as a service writer. You'll get along a lot further in your career by telling the truth instead of lying to your customers and blaming others if something doesn't go right. Your intentions seemed to be there, but lying to the customer to try to tell them what you think they want to hear isn't the way to succeed. Be truthful and straight forward. Terrible experience all around and disappointed after all the years of loyalty after purchasing my vehicle at CDJR of Paramus. More
Though I previously had a pleasant experience at this dealership, I cannot say the same this time around as I sought to lease a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The sales rep, Rich, was able to provide a de dealership, I cannot say the same this time around as I sought to lease a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The sales rep, Rich, was able to provide a decent offer; however, he changed the terms ahead of me signing a new contract and I highly recommend people go elsewhere. After negotiating both at the dealership and extensively communicating via phone and text, I agreed to terms on a deal with Rich, which included the dealership taking my current lease, which they noted they'd "have no problem reselling at auction." Yet, when I arrived to sign paperwork (after running my credit and coordinating with my insurance company to source a new policy), Rich first tells me that his team is "mad that I'm there and hates the deal I got because it's too good" - interesting sales tactic considering I'm about to give them my hard-earned money - and then changes some terms on the spot, including the dealership no longer agreeing to take my current lease, as well as tacking on the DMV fees separately. I've since been to a few other dealerships and they all noted this was a shady tactic used to tried to recoup some money. I didn't appreciate the last minute changes and trying to be taken advantage of, so I left. I highly recommend going elsewhere as this dealership lacks integrity and tries to simply "get you in the door" to continue negotiating even after terms are agreed to. Not worth the headache. More
Went to buy a 2020 Dodge charger for the advertised price of $26,944.00. When I went there the next day with my bank check and insurance cards to buy the car they told me that I had to purchase a protection of $26,944.00. When I went there the next day with my bank check and insurance cards to buy the car they told me that I had to purchase a protection plan for the interior of the car and it also would give me the 2nd key for the car. The extra cost would be an additional $2900.00. I said I didn’t the protection plan, they then said I couldn’t buy the car for the advertised price. They are SCAMERS be careful. More
The service here is horrible! They price gouge you and i’ve seen more than one customer coming out crying… for myself was told the bill would be $3500- walked out w a $7000 bill. They price gouge you and i’ve seen more than one customer coming out crying… for myself was told the bill would be $3500- walked out w a $7000 bill. Charged me a “refundable” $103 fee for a car rental and had to stalk months later for them to refund me. Will never buy a Jeep again because of their service. Hope one day a class action lawsuit gets taken against them so we customers can get some of our money back from their thievery! More
The experience at this dealership started off great, but they screwed me in the end. Went in there to look at the new 2024 Wrangler 4xE and they were really helpful - the salesman let me take it for a test they screwed me in the end. Went in there to look at the new 2024 Wrangler 4xE and they were really helpful - the salesman let me take it for a test drive, walked through all the versions/options with me, discussed the various options, etc. The salesman specifically told me that I should lease this to get the maximum incentives and we then discussed my intention to lease this vehicle for 3 years and then (assuming there were no issues) buy it out for my son who would have just gotten his license at that date. The salesman told me the residual was around 63% for a 36-month lease which is pretty average so was not concerned. Went through the usual negotiations and they came back with a monthly payment. I did some research on LeaseHackr and saw that others were getting the same Jeep through CCAP leasing for about $40-50 less per month. Went back to the dealership and asked them to match it, which they did and everything seemed great. What they did not tell me was they changed the lease from CCAP to US Bank so they could clearly maximize their profit, and US Bank handles the lease very differently by adding the federal EV credit to the residual (instead of giving it as a cap cost reduction). Only realized this after I had signed the lease so now I am stuck with a Jeep that has a 75% residual and would never be viable to buy out at the end of the lease! They screwed me over big time by (1) never disclosing that they were changing the lease provider to US Bank, (2) never disclosing that the residual would become insanely high despite knowing that my plan was to always buy it out at the end, and (3) rushing the paperwork through at the end where all they focused on was the monthly payment and never mentioned the high residual. Most dealerships would keep you for hours making the process of car purchasing dreadful. However, my experience was no where close to that. Zahier, managed the paperwork very well. Not to mention the ne process of car purchasing dreadful. However, my experience was no where close to that. Zahier, managed the paperwork very well. Not to mention the negotiating process was effortless. I was meticulously treated and handled with the utmost customer’s service care. In life I usually don’t get what I want. But, that day…. I DID! Thank you, Zaheir for letting me driving away happy and content. More
My car battery needed to be replaced and I had to have it towed to the nearest Jeep dealer from my home. I called Jeep Wave and they told me this dealership was basically the only one in my area that does no towed to the nearest Jeep dealer from my home. I called Jeep Wave and they told me this dealership was basically the only one in my area that does not participate in that aspect of that program, so my car would not be accepted there for service. I had to have it towed 30 mins away to Ramsey, instead of 10 minutes away to this location. It was such an inconvenience and I was unable to use my car for 4 days as a result. I actually wanted to start my next lease through this dealership since it so close to my home, but after that experience, I am no longer interested in this dealership or services again. More
Let me start off by saying I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND anyone come to this poor excuse of a dealership. The customer service or lack thereof was absolutely disgusting. I brought my truck to have an open recall f come to this poor excuse of a dealership. The customer service or lack thereof was absolutely disgusting. I brought my truck to have an open recall fixed, as well as to possibly look into getting some future work done on my truck. My understanding is that any recalls on any vehicles are fixed at no cost, and thusly, I believe explains why the service was bad. Anywho, when I brought my truck in, it was without an appointment so naturally, I understood that it might take some time. I came with the intention of asking how long the recall would take to get fixed so that I could properly schedule an appointment to have the work done. When I advised workers at the service dapartment, they said to me, "No worries, we'll take your truck right now and get it checked out," to my surprise. One particularly horrible gentleman and I use that term very loosely, Told me that he would be with me in 5 minutes. Again I reiterated the point that I did not have an appointment and all I wanted to know was how long work that I wanted to get done would be so that I could come back at an appropriate time and schedule an appointment. When they told me they would take care of the issue, I was pleasantly surprised and agreed to go forward. Fast forward to about two and a half hours later, no one spoke to me or came up to me to follow up. When I finally approached the gentleman who told me he would be with me in 5 minutes. He chuckles and " tried to reach out to you," despite the fact that he saw me sitting in the lounge and kept on going in and out of the lounge without saying anything to me. I explained to him that my vehicle was in for a recall check and that it was my understanding that these kinds of problems don't take long to fix. He then proceeds to tell me you're good to go we have your truck ready, but almost instantly tries to sucker me in to get a full inspection, because my vehicle was past thirty thousand miles. When I told him maybe some other time I will come back and get it checked out, in addition to possibly having some work done on the truck, the situation went from your truck is ready to you'll have to wait another hour because they're now working on your truck. I then asked to speak to the service manager who never came and addressed my request to speak with him. I once again spoke to another party and asked if I could speak to the service manager but instead was given the service associate. When I explained my situation to him, I asked him how long will it take for my truck to be ready? And at this point having already been there for 3 hours without any updates or any assistance or follow ups, I was ready to leave. Magically once I said that the service associate went to the shop to ask about the status of my truck and again magically, my truck was ready to go contrary to what I was told about having to wait another hour. Upon leaving, I received an invoice which indicated approximately $250 for a quote which was never done or explained to me. In closing, I believe they tried to pull a fast one on me, simply because the work that was gonna be done was free and they were making no money off of me being there, so the fast talking service worker tried to con me into getting a full inspection that would cost me money. End result: The issue that I brought the truck in for was not resolved despite them saying they resolved the problem. Again I want to Reiterate the point that I would never recommend anyone go to this place ever. To add insult to injury the same gentleman that I spoke to the manager about, decided to be smug and a smart xxx and says to me as I'm walking out, "Have a good day with a grin on his face." More
Disgrace and Out right Liars and Thief’s Be forewarned…I wanted to write this review for a few weeks now, but need this time to reflect on how this business robbed me. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangl forewarned…I wanted to write this review for a few weeks now, but need this time to reflect on how this business robbed me. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that I purchased in April 2022. The Jeep has about 45000 miles on it. I purchased this vehicle from CarShop in New Brunswick, NJ. This vehicle was purchased with full extended warranty for which I wanted to ensure that serious issues would be covered. Well on Sept 24, 2023, I stopped at a stop light in NYC. Once the light changed to green and I removed my foot from the breaks the automatic restart of the vehicle would not initiate. I had to get the car towed back to NJ to my home and to figure out how to get the car repaired. Carshop is located almost 50 miles from my home in Teaneck. So, to get it towed there would cost me about $250.00. I called Carshop and they advise that I could tow it to a closer repair shop, and they should honor the warranty. I had the car towed to ChryslerJeepDodge of Paramus. I explained what happened and gave them the warranty information so if something was covered by the warranty. The following day I received a call from the service representative stating that the repairs would cost $2900.00. I asked him to explain what the charge was entailed and did any of those charges was covered by any of the warranty. He said he called the warranty company, and nothing was covered. He stated that the issues were that the breaks needed to be replaced, the vehicle needed throttle body service and Emission System Service and the battery needed replacement to correct the issues of the Jeep. I protested that I don’t think the breaks had anything to do with the car not starting. He then requoted the repairs at $1600. I asked if any of those service was covered by the warranty insurance, and he said no because they are routine maintenance. However, he had stated to be that he had call the insurance warranty company and they said nothing was covered. I placed a call to the insurance directly and they stated that no one from the repair shop called. They insisted that I needed the Throttle body service and Emission System service in order to fix the issue that I brought the car in to address. After further, investigation turns out that this issue is common with some Jeep Wranglers where the auxiliary battery dies and thus affect the ability for the Jeep to restart. Thus, I only needed the batteries replaced… This ruthless way of upselling unneeded car repair service is wrong and downright very deceitful. I do not blame the repair tech but seems to me the standard means of operation at this Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Paramus. Seems their compensation is based on how much repair service is sold by each representative. Why should I have to pay out for service that was not really needed to address the core problem? This is my second experience of dealing with this dealership and both experiences now reveals to me that they are untrustworthy. If I had to do this again, I would have towed the car the 50 miles to the more reputable and trustworthy business. More
