Unbelievable ! Just yesterday (on a Sunday) I went to Jim Browne Dodge to look at a used 2005 Dodge Ram SLT, that was advertised on line for $7700.00. The truck only had 92k miles and appeared to be in really good condition, just based on the pictures and naturally, what the salesman was telling me on the telephone. I usually do not buy from dealerships, as you always wind up paying much more than the advertised price, once they include their HIDDEN costs. I told the salesman (Leo) that I wanted to get out the door for $8k which he said he could not due, but told me that he could do it for $8500.00. I spoke to Leo on Saturday and told him that the only day that I could go there (coming from Port Charlotte) was the next day Sunday. Leo was very accommodating and even though he was not going to be there, he made sure another salesman knew my Maximum price, which is exactly what I saw on the paperwork right when I arrived. There was no "4 box" game playing and as a matter of fact, this truck was absolutely Phenomenal! It was in NEAR new condition as if it had rarely been used. No body damage or repairs. Clean Carfax. Beautiful interior and drove perfectly. I actually had an idling issue when I got home, which turned out to be a big nothing....resetting of the computer, which the dealership even said they would pay me to have fixed. I did not even worry about the minor cost as the dealership actually knocked off $200.00 from the purchase price as the registration came out to be less than. WHAT DEALERSHIP DOES THIS? Jim Browne Dodge DID....My local mechanic (My Mechanic) told me that they had rarely seen such a well kept and maintained used vehicle. I want to thank sales personnel Leo, George, and Juan.......Just one last item. This dealership gives you (on most all used vehicles) a LIFETIME warranty on the motor, transmission, and drive train. This is absolutely UNREAL ! I am nothing more than a normal consumer who wanted to share my experience with others who are skeptical like I was, until visiting Jim Browne Dodge. I took my vehicle in for a malfunction light that lit up on the dash. After diagnostics, they said it was a $632 throttle body that needed to be fully replaced because it wasn’t closing & this if not repair on the dash. After diagnostics, they said it was a $632 throttle body that needed to be fully replaced because it wasn’t closing & this if not repaired would cause my car to not start. So i fixed it, picked up up & less than 24hrs later the malfunction light came back on. After taking it back in they said the diagnostic was reading the same error from before. Which makes me feel like they didnt fully inspect it the first time. Then they said i have a leak in a pcv line, needing relaced at $202. So how did 2 things cause the same error at the same time? If they both trigger the malfunction light the 2nd repair would have had to break during the same 24hr window of when i picked up the car & when the light came on again. What sounds more realistic is that i paid over $600 for a repair that wasn’t really necessary. Sad part is as a customer we never know , we can only listen to their advice & hope they’re telling the truth. After hearing my neighbor had the same experience at that same dealership a few years back, it sounds like a trend for them. I feel swindled to be honest. Thats my opinion. More

She met inside the dealership waiting area after about 15 minutes after my arrival to explain what work needed to get accomplished and why. I gave my consent based on her insightful suggestions. The work was completed in the 2 hour time-frame she listed for me, and the pricing was exactly what had been quoted to me. Overall outstanding job. More

They gave me a ride down the street to my work and he contacted me shortly after that and they found I had a water pump leak which they replaced and I had my car back within a few hours. Not only did they get the car to Tampa for me, but it was at an even better price. George, Alex, and Carrie all did a great job to complete this deal. Once purchased, we have to say that Wanda, in finance, made the closing the best from any new car or RV dealership that we have ever worked with. Not only was she very precise and accurate, but so very personable. So next time I go in for service, I will also go visit my new friends there. An overall Great experience and I love the van. More
