DO NOT USE THIS DEALER!!! Dropped our Jeep Wrangler off for a recall. That went fine. We came back to pick it up after the service dept was closed, we drove around back to pick up the car and we picked u for a recall. That went fine. We came back to pick it up after the service dept was closed, we drove around back to pick up the car and we picked up a nail along with a piece of splash shield in their lot. Tire could not be plugged and must be replaced. Tried to get reimbursed by talking with service rep, service manager, general manager and dealer president. Called repeatedly over several days and nothing. So going in for a service recall is going to cost me $270. I repeat DO NOT USE THIS DEALER. The fact that this nail was in their lot just goes to show how sloppy, lazy, lack of focus and inattention to quality this dealer must have. The fact that they won't own up to their responsibility also shows that they don't stand behind their work. More

Don't Trust Baker Jeep. Buy Elsewhere! There are a lot of Jeep dealerships in our area. Don't buy from these guys. Don't make the mistake I made. These guys aren't honest (even as far as car dealers go). They lie, they scam, and they use high-pressure, shady sales tactics to rip you off. I went in during the past employee pricing sale to test drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was looking for something better in the snow. I had no plans to buy that night, I just wanted to see and test drive a Grand Cherokee Limited that I had looked at on their website. When I arrived I was told that specific Grand Cherokee had a dead battery, so while the Sales Manager (I didnt catch his name but he was a very tall guy) valued my current car my assigned salesperson, Jim, took me out in a similar Grand Cherokee. Jim was friendly and informative. He treated me with respect throughout the test drive. That part was great. But after the test drive was possibly the worst, most uncomfortable experience of my life and I'm still angry and upset about how it all went down. Back in the office, Jim wanted to talk price. He handed me a printout and the price was immediately more than I had been quoted online. Aside from the taxes and fees you'd expect, there were add-ons that they don't tell you about. $2,000 worth of sprays, key replacement services, and VIN-etchings. I told Jim more than once that I wasn't interested in these add-ons and his response was "Well it would only be maybe $20 more a month." It's still $2000 of my money for things I don't need. And even more money when it gets baked into 6 years worth of interest on loan payments but we'll get back to that. In addition to that surprise, I was also informed that some of the rebates that i qualified for I wasn't allowed to actually use. That it was a "this or that" choice with Baker Jeep. I could either get the employee pricing discount OR the $1,500 in Chrysler & Sams Club rebates. They wouldn't honor both. Again, they don't tell you that on the website. They imply you get the current discounts AND any rebates you qualify for. Another scam. Since the employee pricing discount was more I chose that one. At this point the SM brings me a printout with what they're willing to offer me for my trade-in, a 2009 Mustang GT Premium with 86k miles. $4,000. Super lowball offer. I told them that the going rate on the various websites for a car like mine was $13,000. The SM said that my carfax had an accident on it (I hit a deer in 2017 and had the hood replaced.) and that was what it was worth. I told him that was too low and tried to leave. But he said he could "call a guy he knew down south." Since "mustangs sell better down there." So while I chatted with Jim the SM "called his guy" in Florida. He came back and said that his guy in Florida would take it, that it would be shipped down there, and the best he could do was $7,800. That this was a tremendous deal that I wasn't going to get close to anywhere else. It was repeated to me over and over how good of a deal I was getting and how stupid I would be to turn it down. That this was my one shot. The rest of my dealing that night hinged on this FOMO so it's important. It turns out he was a total liar and was scamming me. I dont think there ever was a guy in Florida at all. Because guess what? They're currently selling my Mustang, in PRINCETON, for $13,000!!! The SM completely lied to me and ripped me off to the tune of $5,000 profit. All they did was refinish the rotors and add new brake pads. Liars! But at the time I believed them, Jim seemed like a nice guy so I thought they were being honest. That I could at least trust him. I don't buy new cars often, and I'm far from a pro at this. With the trade-in settled I told them I wanted to finance and that I was looking for a 5 year loan. The finance guy printed out a few options, but with the lower than expected trade-in value, the extra $2,000 in surprise add-ons, and with them refusing me $1,500 worth of rebates the final price for the car was way higher than I had expected going in. So again I thanked them and went to leave. But again the SM asked to let him see what he could do. So the finance guy reworked the loan from 5 years to 6 years to get me just under the max monthly payment I was comfortable with. But it increased the interest 3x. So I wasn't sure. I wanted to take a day to think about it. But the SM told me that if I left the dealership the deal they were offering me on my trade-in was off the table (because he couldn't leave the guy in Florida, who didn't actually exist, hanging). He told me that I could come back later to see the actual car I was going to buy but again, deals off the table. I asked if I could go outside and call someone (I wanted advice) and was told that they were closing soon and he needed an answer. That I needed to make a decision. The whole time we're going back and forth Jim keeps shoving his hand in my face to shake. It was all VERY high pressure and intimidating. I can't describe how on my heels I felt. I told the SM I didnt want the $2,000 worth of add-ons. He said that was part of the deal. I said "so these aren't optional?" and he just shrugged. He and Jim reiterated how great of a deal I was getting and that they needed an answer now. I should have just thanked them and walked out. But I panicked. Agreeing to the deal was, at the end of the day, ultimately my fault, my choice, but I can't describe to you how high-pressure and intimidating the sales tactics at this place are. The "now or never" stuff. And then, when you DO get a chance to think things over, and crunch some numbers, and do some more research you learn why—because theyre scamming you and they dont want you to be able to call them on it. You can't return cars. Once they trick you you're tricked for good. And to add insult to injury, they sold me a car with paint chipped off the driver's side door. Wonderful. Another reason they surely didnt want me to come back later and see it. This experience was a nightmare. I wish I could return the Grand Cherokee and get my money and trade-in back. I would gladly eat the taxes and fees. I feel completely ripped off and lied to and scammed and it has just ruined any excitement that buying a new car is supposed to bring. But with car sales being final, I'm stuck with it and the deal, and all I can do is try to warn the rest of you to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! More

He was upfront about what was available, helped explain the different price options, and worked to get the Jeep I wanted. Upon delivery he did a great job explaining all the features on the vehicle and helped make the financing process easy to complete. I genuinely felt that he was at least as concerned that I be satisfied with my purchase as he was with actually making a sale. His manager and his finance manager seemed equally interested in creating a relationship rather than simply selling. I look forward to my future dealings with Baker. More
