Worst Car Buying Experience I just left the dealership and couldn't be more disappointed. I plan on buying a car by Friday for a road trip I'm taking for the holidays. The internet sales person, Helena Angesom, was great and emailed me the specifics on a Camry XLE. She said the car wasn't on the lot, but she could have it sent over from a sister dealership. The color wasn't my first choice so I went by the dealership to see if there was another car in the color so I could see if the color would work for me. My experience in the showroom was without a doubt the worst I've ever experienced. The man I dealt with was dismissive, rude and totally uninterested in selling me a car and I'm paying cash. I show him the email Angesom sent me on my cell phone and ask do you have any car in that color; I just want to look at the color. He points to a basic white Camry and says that's what we have. I wait thinking there is going to be more, there isnt and I walk out the door. I will say their price was competitive, but with that service I'd pay more somewhere else. More

Certified 2012 Toyota Sienna LE that wasn't certified I traded in my car for a certified 2012 Sienne LE that was by no means certified. The reason why I am saying this is because I bought the vehicle wit I traded in my car for a certified 2012 Sienne LE that was by no means certified. The reason why I am saying this is because I bought the vehicle with an extended warranty (certified pre-owned program). The program can only be sold with an eligible certified vehicle. After finalizing all paperwork on the vehicle and waiting to drive it home, we were addressed by the sales person of the problems found on the vehicle we purchased (water pump leaking bad needed replace, bumper scratches needing paint work, dents on side, who knows what else). Assuming what the sales person said the vehicle, being "certified" had an 160 pt inspection so one would expect the problems were taken cared of before going on the market. I honestly did not know until later, that the 160 pt inspection included exterior condition and appearance (body free of dent, paint has even high luster, no scratches). So we were given a company vehicle to drive back home and our vehicle would be delivered after the issues were addressed. Upon closer inspection a few days after receiving the vehicle on a nice and sunny day. I found the paint job on the scratch repair was horrible. By no means was it smooth and linear like the rest of the paint from factory. In fact it was grainy like sandpaper as I ran my fingers through it and I could clearly see it under the sun. Coming from a big Toyota dealership I would have expected a lot better work. There were also big paint chips under the handle bars that weren't repaired in which should have been taken cared of. I believe this dealership did not give me what I paid for which is a fully 160 point inspected certified vehicle. Besides these problems the dealership employees were respectful and friendly. More

Unhappiness to purchase Toyota Camry Hybrid from this dealer Friendly people, careless process. Unfortunately, my experience is extremely different from most of them listed in this web site. In April, we purcha Friendly people, careless process. Unfortunately, my experience is extremely different from most of them listed in this web site. In April, we purchased a Toyota Camry Hybrid. Seemingly, everything was OK, exciting. We picked up the car on April 7, and a few days later we realized that the exterior protection was not made. We also wanted a theft protection (car identification JPS, if stolen). For the external protection, the Dealer's reply was; "I frorgot" but whenever you bring back we (my friend) will install the alarm and ID/location system also. However, my friend excepts only cash. I asked at least serial number or type of the protection system, but it was told us: "It is in our computer system here, thus it is registered. We believed that the story closed. However 10 week after the purchasing, no licence plate, no sticker and no Title received. Called back Jonathan (our dealer), and as happened twice earlier, he promised to call me back within a few minutes, but it did not happen, and I had to catch him late afternoon/evening. Answer was a very custom supportive: I checked that and everything is/was OK. The excuse not calling me back (from 9:05AM to 6:30PM): "I was busy, I had no time to call back". My temporary licence expires at June 30; what can I do? "Nothing, wait, and you will receive." Next week, I went to Illinois State building (licence plate and title bureau). Within 5 minutes (using the car ID no) it was found that everything was returned to Springfield. Friday (June 19) we received both the Title and Licence plate with the sticker, but not the City Sticker. The Title and address had two typing errors made by Tom Nicolau. He was very busy and evidently making insufficient attention what he did. However, City Stickier was not received. Back again to the City Hall. Different building and plus $60 penalty for late registration, although it was promised by Jonathan that absolutely everything is done. The alarm system was in the car (originally) and ID JPC is not. $650 is gone. May be an accidental occasion, but somehow I fill some coordinated set of mistakes/problems led to late time frame (over 10 weeks). CUSTOMER! Be extremely careful with Northside Toyota Dealer and Service! Eventually, I don't know which was and wasn't done on my new Camry, no list of external protection received. At the same time my old Camry needed a regular oil change, and the final amount with all "identified immediately necessary repairs" was $2,700. Hmm, one new item evidently never was changed. However, this new part and particular service (labor) are in their invoice. It may be also an accidentally surcharged item, but I hardly believe. It was a capital mistake to go Northside instead of Midtown Toyota. Absolutely opposite attitude and significantly more expensive. More
