Disappointed April 6, I purchased a new Toyota 2018 Corolla Hatchback, and sold my used car to a friend. He had difficulty putting his new license plates on the car. So, yesterday we arrived, me driving my new car and him driving my old car. We asked assistance in putting on his new license plates and were shocked to be told it would be $149. I responded that I had just purchased a car there and couldn't they just do this for us. I was told NO this is a new service. My friend then called another auto service. He went there and quickly had the procedure done for NOTHING or zero dolloars. More

Recently brought my car in for service, I’m a female teacher at CPS and my knowledge of car repairs is not high. I asked my Dad where to take my 2010 Prius with 66,000 miles and he immediately said fine a local Toyota dealership, they are honest and fair. Well let me tell you, Chicago Northside Toyota is as far in the opposite direction as you can go. After reviewing the bill and the extreme labor charges with friends and coworkers, some who have mechanics in the family, they all agreed I was ripped off. Here are just a few examples from my bill: $298 in labor to change out a oxygen sensor, $298 in labor to replace 2 broken heat shields, $298 in labor to replace a PVC valve, are you seeing a trend here? $149 in labor to lube front caliper slide pins, yes that’s right, $149 to LUBE 2 pins. I could go on but why bother when dealing with rip off artists. I called 2 other Toyota dealers and asked what they charge for these services and both were at half the labor!!!When the dealership finally called me back and only after I contacted the Toyota regional office, they offered a refund of $150 if I took down all my reviews, well this is America, remember free speech? Stay far, far away from Chicago Northside Toyota especially if you are a woman, they target you from the minute you step into the service area. More
