I've been looking for a particular car for over a year and had been into many dealerships in and near Illinois. Once William, one of the sales managers, stepped up to help me, he found the car I wanted i and had been into many dealerships in and near Illinois. Once William, one of the sales managers, stepped up to help me, he found the car I wanted in just 5 minutes! Despite my frustration, anger, and annoyance, William was polite, sensitive, and stayed professional. I returned to get my deposit back and walk away. Instead, within a week I owned my "unicorn" (unicorns are mythical). I even am enjoying a couple of trinkets along with my new Corolla Cross - especially the little multi-tool I now use every day! Even though someone else at this dealership wouldn't consider my 20-year-old car as a trade-in, William let me trade it in. That was a huge factor in helping me to decide to stick with this dealership and got rid of my headache of trying to sell it on my own. There were a lot of bumps along the way with this purchase, but William made it right. I was very specific on what I did and didn't want on a car and had a huge learning curve because cars have changed a lot in the past 20 years. Chicago Northside Toyota felt comfortable, quiet, well-staffed and immaculate each time I was in there. There was always someone to greet customers at all doors. The waiting area is very comfortable and spread out enough to not feel like a courtroom. As a side note about a different dealership- I didn't last 5 minutes in Leader Toyota either time I went there and felt like I was in The Twilight Zone. I gave them 2 chances. I happily bought my previous car from Grossinger - but the new management is obviously going for a different clientele, and I was uncomfortable. More
Very poor experience. No one could answer any questions. The service they said required immediate attention could have been deferred. What's surprising is that my previous experience was excellent, but I noticed that the staff was all new. More
After a bad experience in the morning with a service advisor, the manager contacted me, and I was able to successfully complete the service in a positive way thanks to Xemena, who provided me with excel advisor, the manager contacted me, and I was able to successfully complete the service in a positive way thanks to Xemena, who provided me with excellent assistance. I had the worst car sales experience of my life. Never in my years of car buying have i had a salesman swear at me. Do not work with Jeremy Alveraz. He was the most unprofessional employee I’ve ever met. He came with $5k worth of add ons that i requested him to take out. He said it’s part of the car deal and he cannot ( blatant LIE of course) i said id want to work with another sales or manager because he wouldnt rework the numbers when i asked him multiple times and simply bc he lost my trust. His response was “I’m not here to earn your trust. I’m here to sell you a car “. He continued to use profanity and yell at me in front of his sales manager and employees as we parted ways. The Head manager came by later to apologize but this still left a very bad taste. I hope they review the cameras and let go of this employee. I will take this to higher ups as a simple apology won’t suffice. I do hope you guys hire better employees than this. Trust there will be reviews left on bbb and other sites so other consumers are aware of this employee and his criminal like sales tactics. Toyota do better!! More
I came in for a simple oil change on Nov 22, 2023 after completion of the oil change I was sent an email from the mechanic that worked on my car and this is what it said. Recommended service : Upon remo completion of the oil change I was sent an email from the mechanic that worked on my car and this is what it said. Recommended service : Upon removal of oil drain plug, plug came out ok but oil pan treads are stripped oil drain plug just won't torc and oil will slowly leak out. Needs new oil pan and re seal. ( my cost to repair $839.26 ) I called and spoke with the General Manager Tegan Trejo Martinez we spoke briefly about the problem and she stated that she would call me back that was on November 23 2023 I am still wait for that phone call I have left numerous messages but no one has called me back. More
Hands down the worst experience I’ve had with a car dealership. I purchased at a suburban dealership, and have used this one for service since 11/21. Our visit there will be our last visit. They sent a text saying we had a free of charge service appointment to schedule, as we have ToyotaCare. They charged my spouse $285, when I emailed and called to inquire with the GM, no response. Emailed Toyota several times. They just kept saying “reach back out if you do not hear from them. This has been going on for a month now. No acknowledgment. No response. Sad part is, we were considering a new Grand Highlander. I’ll now go with a brand that offers reputable, responsive service. More
I am very pleased with my experience at Northside Toyota! Rafael and Tegan went above and beyond to make sure my son got an affordable and safe vehicle. Originally, my son bought his first car at this dealership but it didn’t work properly, so Tegan happily invited us back in to exchange the vehicle. She’s an incredible manager and really cares for her customers. Followed up and made time to meet with us- I couldn’t be happier!
