I’ll provide the facts. I went the dealer to pay asking price on new 2022 Tesla. Xzilon ($2595) was previously applied. I declined the following add-ons: $2900 used car s I went the dealer to pay asking price on new 2022 Tesla. Xzilon ($2595) was previously applied. I declined the following add-ons: $2900 used car surcharge, $2500 rust protection package, $1995 Lo-Jack. They refused to accept my own financing, so I offered to pay in cash. They refused to sell me the car because I was paying in cash. Such a weird experience, I don’t blame the sales or finance guys, these are corporate policies that prey on impoverished and less sophisticated consumers. I bought my car later that night at Tesla.com (no issues, no add ons). More
I guess I should have came here to look at the reviews before driving 5 hours to buy a car. Car was on their site for just under $27k we were putting $15k down and they brought us a paper saying we'd be f before driving 5 hours to buy a car. Car was on their site for just under $27k we were putting $15k down and they brought us a paper saying we'd be financing $28k. So essentially our $15000 was covering their fees.. People please quit buying from these people. More
The true definition of "awful" - don't believe the price you see online. They will raise the price 20% after you take a test drive and blame low inventory. They also try to include a fee for "Xzilon" whic you see online. They will raise the price 20% after you take a test drive and blame low inventory. They also try to include a fee for "Xzilon" which is a scam, the fee is $2595.00. This is the worst dealership I have ever walked into. They also refuse to sell you a car if you want to pay out of pocket and not finance with them. Move on, don't go here. I never have any problems with anyone, for me to write this review says a lot. Please move on from the horrible place. More
My wide and I were looking at a used Traverse that was listed on numerous websites including their own. The vehicle from the carfax looks to be on the market since July with them. The listed price on all listed on numerous websites including their own. The vehicle from the carfax looks to be on the market since July with them. The listed price on all platforms was $30878 plus they make you pay the $2595 in "dealer incentives". I had made an offer of $30500 which was declined. This is for my wife so she reached out the next day, yes the vehicle is available. She offered them $32500. She was then told that the vehicle was a 3lt, which it states on all platforms and shows the Vin number and that the pricing was wrong. This has been listed for over 2 months and all the sudden overnight the vehicle pricing has increased to $34188. Also they will not accept your own financing. More
They will force you to buy a Xilon warranty package that costs thousands, regardless of whether you say no. Claim it is a built in cost and nothing can be done. The car was scratched, had interior gouges, u costs thousands, regardless of whether you say no. Claim it is a built in cost and nothing can be done. The car was scratched, had interior gouges, usb port broken, and was filthy despite being only 2 years old and very overpriced. I asked if anything could be done on price due to damage and received a flat no. Their excuse was "Well it's used, so..." I was shown two other cars that were the same level, despite being newer and more expensive. I was beyond disappointed and they treated me like I was insane for expecting the cars to not be scratched to xxxx and filthy. The finance manager got involved to try to get the sale. He told me to "smile" twice when he saw I was upset and disappointed. If I hadn't been in such a bind and needed a car to get to work the next morning, I would have walked out. They promised to fix the usb port and told me the car was being detailed while I waited on paperwork. I left with no functional usb, no service appointment, and a filthy car. The next morning the low tire pressure light came on 3 minutes into my drive to work, even though I was told it had good tires. Goodness knows how much that is going to cost me. They also never set up my service appointment for the usb despite me leaving while they were open - I had to call to schedule the service myself the next day. I have no confidence it will actually be fixed properly. I will regret giving them my business forever. Nobody should ever give this dealership a dime. More
Complete con artists. Interested in buying a Chevy Bolt EUV (vin#: 1G1FZ6S04N4131490) . The car is amazing, the dealership is not. First off, the salesman tried to tell Interested in buying a Chevy Bolt EUV (vin#: 1G1FZ6S04N4131490) . The car is amazing, the dealership is not. First off, the salesman tried to tell us that since the car is rare and hard to find, dealerships mark up the costs 10-15%. Luckily I was armed with the knowledge that GM corporate has warned it's dealership network to stop doing this, and I let them know in no certain terms that I would not pay a dime over MSRP. The "manager" then shows up and says that they will sell it at MSRP if I pay $2500 for a paint and fabric protection package, called Xilon or something. I said no. Keep in mind, that the car did not have this "package" listed on the sticker, and I stated I did not want it. So in effect, they were trying to force me to buy something I didn't want or need. I told them to pound sand. Furthermore, I contacted GM corporate and reported this dealership for their shady sales tactics and attempts to markup the price - all against GM corporate policy. UPDATE: Two days after this happened, I get a call from Chevrolet of Palatine informing me that they would sell the car at MSRP and remove the protection package. Ok. So I get to the dealership, and they low-ball my trade (I know this because I had the car appraised). I say no and leave. The next day I get a call saying that they will give me my requested trade amount if I have their mechanic check the car out before the shop closes. I work so no, I'll be there at 7 pm. When I get there, the manager won't budge on the trade until the car can be expected, and I commit to returning in the morning before work for the inspection. I offer to leave a deposit and the manger refuses and says that he won't sell the car out from under me. While I'm sitting with the manager, the sales guy shows up and asks for the keys because someone wants to test drive it (classic car salesman scare tactic). I figure he just told me he wouldn't sell it out from under me, so I'll see them in the morning. I get a text that night that they had sold the car. So much for their word being honorable. A day later, I get yet another call from the dealership saying the car is still available (so much for the scare tactic) and they want me to come in and finalize the deal. Again, its the middle of the day, and I work for a living. I tell them I can be there the next day as I was off work. The salesman says he'll have the car placed in the back and they won't sell it. 2 hours before I show up to finalize the deal, I get a call from the salesman that they had sold the car. Again. In summary, this is the worst experience I have ever had attempting to purchase a car, regardless of manufacturer. Avoid this dealership at all costs. More
what a bunch of shenanigans. . they list car at 9995 msrp.. and some bogus line about 2595 in extra dealer costs, but never added that to the price in the online ad, so very dec . they list car at 9995 msrp.. and some bogus line about 2595 in extra dealer costs, but never added that to the price in the online ad, so very deceptive. Still not sure if the 2595 is solely for the Xzilon ? And then find out since car is over 20 years old, Xzilon would not warranty it. Test drive went fine, but cruise control did not work , duct tape on driver side visor, duct tape holding a battery bracket, and a big rust spot on rear wheel well, which dealer tried to downplay... The Worst was back in sales office, and the last century baloney of the junior sales guy leaving 3 times to negotitate by talking to his manager , then floor leader, and trying to manipulate me into making an offer.. Now i remember why I buy from private parties. More
I'm not sure about these other people's experience but I can comment on mine. I had a very satisfying experience with Chevrolet of Palatine and a sales person named Christopher. I saw the car I wanted to lo can comment on mine. I had a very satisfying experience with Chevrolet of Palatine and a sales person named Christopher. I saw the car I wanted to look at online and requested information. I arrived just after it opened Saturday morning and Christopher was very easy going and relaxed with me. We test drove the vehicle and it was exactly as it was advertised. It was a 2016 Honda CR-V with only 31K miles. I told him of my experience with the Honda dealership on golf road in Schaumburg and how they eventually said no on a deal with a 2018 Honda Accord over a $500 difference. The sales guy called me back but I had already agreed to buy the CR-V. I had been going there for 20 years. No more though. Christopher and I struck a deal that was fair for both and that car is in my driveway now. Thanks Christopher... More
