Getting a new car is so exciting and so much fun, but the process it takes to get a car has been said to be painstaking because of dealing with salespeople and all of the paperwork. The reputation of those in car sales has been dragged through the mud for years with people making all sorts of negative comments about them. Let me tell you, Emily not only goes against the grain of those negative comments, she smashes the stereotype of negativity and makes the entire car buying experience a complete joy: from the test drive all the way through driving that car off the lot, and yes, that includes signing all the papers and working on the financing. I was looking for an Equinox and thought I knew what I needed and was putting myself in a car that was way too expensive for my budget. Emily was wonderful at explaining all of the features of each trim level of the equinox and making sure I get what I wanted and needed while not adding things I was never going to use. She isn’t there to upsell and make a buck on each customer, she actually saved me money! For example, I told her I wanted AWD instead of FWD so I wouldn’t get stuck in snow and all of those other thoughts that follow that train of thought. Emily explained that I was confusing some facts and went into detail to make sure I understood the difference and see if I really wanted AWD or if I wanted what I thought AWD was. So that right that took, I believe, $1,200 off my bottom line. Other than not upselling, she was also great at listening to what I did want and what I had to have. She didn’t judge my opinion when I would say I didn’t want something because it was ugly or plain ol’ just not me. We laughed and had fun for the entire time I was there. I was there on two different days during my researching and buying and she was not pushy! Most places don’t want you to walk out the door before you make a purchase, but Emily is there to inform you and make sure you are making the best decision for YOU. During my test drive she showed all of the car’s safety features and all of the options. Once it was time to buy she kept me very informed on every step of the way and made sure she did everything she could to get me the best possible deal (side note: she also makes a great cup of tea). Once all of the paperwork was done and the car was mine, she really did make me feel so special about everything, I didn’t feel like I was just a sale to her, I felt like we had become friends. She helped me get all set, linking up my phone to the Bluetooth and getting me hooked up with OnStar. When it comes to buying a car, you’re spending a lot of money and entering in a payment for a long time, so you should feel good about your purchase and you should have a knowledgeable and friendly person helping you along the way.
