Do Not Buy or Service Your Vehicle Here 10/20/2016 I have had an ongoing issue with Cadillac Chevrolet of Bend since January 2016. That is when I purchased a used vehicle from them. I first 10/20/2016 I have had an ongoing issue with Cadillac Chevrolet of Bend since January 2016. That is when I purchased a used vehicle from them. I first attempted to deal with the dealership directly after the purchase in regards to the issues. The day after purchasing it I first went to the salesman who sold me the car, then to the General Manager Steve Burnett. Steve said he would make it right and fix the problems. They didn’t resolve all of the vehicle’s problems mainly the engine issues. After multiple return trips to attempt to fix the issue they could find nothing. Eventually Warren Regnier, a service rep, began to ignore my calls. Inevitably my check engine light went off so I went back to the dealer on 9/29/16. After another unsatisfactory interaction I contacted the corporate office for GMC. On 10/5/16 my contact at Corporate directed me to contact the Customer Experience Manager at the dealer, Bill Riter. Bill Riter is also the Service Manager. That same day I was given his contact information I called him. He asked me to email me his concerns which I did immediately after our phone call. On 10/11/2016 after waiting a week I re-sent the email to Bill thinking he didn’t receive it. Nope. Now Bill is ignoring me too. I even spoke to David Neuberger the Assistant Service Manager and let him know I was waiting to hear from Bill. I guess this is how they tackle issues head on. Fast forward to two weeks later and still no word from Bill! After calling Lithia’s corporate office on 10/20/16, I suddenly received a call from Bill. He offered no resolution whatsoever. As of today it will has been three weeks since they have had my vehicle to repair it. Clearly they do not know what they are doing. Replacement of an engine should not take three weeks. I do not trust their ability to diagnose or repair. Chevy Cadillac of Bend violated the Federal Trade Commission Act Section 5; Unfair or Deceptive acts. They violated both portions of that Act as it pertains to Deceptive Acts or Practices and Unfair Acts or Practices. Deceptive Acts or Practices: “8A representation, omission or practice is deceptive if it is likely to mislead a consumer acting reasonably under the circumstances and is likely to affect a consumer’s conduct or decision regarding a product or service.” The dealership violated this act by pricing this vehicle at full Retail Price. It assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and takes into account the dealers’ profit and costs for advertising, according to Kelley Blue Book. Unfair Acts or Practices: “An act or practice is unfair where it: Causes or is likely to cause substantial injury to consumers.” The dealership violated this act primarily by not performing a pre-inspection of the vehicle prior to selling it to me. Due to the lack of pre-inspection on the vehicle the following things were wrong with the vehicle upon purchase: 1) Transmission Pump: First major item replaced on car. After that the engine was still not performing correctly. I took it in a minimum of two more times after this repair complaining of continuing trouble with the vehicle. To no avail. $3,000 repair 2) Engine: The entire engine is in the process of being replaced with a re-manufactured engine. This is the most recent item that had to be replaced or repaired. This was a problem from day one but they couldn’t diagnose the issue. I took it in at least two more times after the transmission pump was replaced to complain of car issues. After being ignored by my service rep the check engine light went off months later in September. Once plugged into the diagnostic machine they were able to determine that the #1 cylinder’s spark plug fouled out due to leaking from the oil ring. They attempted multiple times to put a bandage on this issue and make the minimum repair to the vehicle instead of looking into other potential damage. First they wanted to only replace the oil rings, spark plugs and fluids. I called the GMC corporate office to insist that they replace the pistons as well. Due to the potential damage the pistons could have suffered from the oil leak. Which they never brought up or acknowledged could be an issue. I contacted my brother who is a mechanic and he made me aware of the likely piston and engine damage. After much insistence on my part and multiple calls to the GMC corporate office they agreed to replace the pistons. Upon replacing the pistons they found hot spots on the top of the #1 cylinder where there was also a bulge in the #1 cylinder wall. Subsequently the entire engine now needs to be replaced. Thank goodness I insisted they look harder at the potential damaged caused or this issue would not have been repaired correctly. They would have sent me on my way with a bandage and continual engine problems. They are the “experts” they should have known to look into the engine further that without me having to point it out. $4,500 repair 3) Weather Rotted Tires: I was unknowingly driving my babies around on rotted tires. I was unaware they were in that condition until I took the vehicle in for an alignment. The technician pointed them out to me. Wanting to make sure that was correct I took them to another tire place and they confirmed it. I had to save a month and a half in order to be able to afford them. I was extremely limited in my ability to drive during that time as the tires were unsafe. On June 14, 2016, I paid $767.04 for four new tires. 4) Sunroof: Leaking into frame of vehicle and making dripping noises. They made a repair and it no longer makes the dripping noise. 5) Driver’s Side Window & Passenger Window: Driver’s side window squeaks loudly when rolling up and down. Replaced driver’s side window seal, lubed window tracks and slides. Window still makes noise just not as much. Passenger side window rattles when rolled up and down. Dealer couldn’t find the issue so nothing was done to fix it. 6) Cruise Control: Not functioning properly. Replaced brake switch. 7) Gas Gauge: Not reading gas level correctly. Dealer couldn’t find anything. Nothing was ever fixed. It was grossly negligent for the dealership to send ANYONE out in this local terrain on tires like those, a bad transmission and a malfunctioning engine. We have taken the vehicle out of reception range and into the mountains. I had no idea how un-safe of a vehicle we were in. We could have been stranded somewhere without reception, water or food. Thank God we remained safe while traveling prior to knowing what a horrible state the tires, transmission and engine where in. When a dealer sells you a vehicle they are obligated to sell you a safe vehicle regardless if it’s new or used. They can’t claim they did that when no pre-inspection and not one ounce of re-conditioning of the vehicle was done. They falsely advertised the state of the vehicle by selling it to me at full sticker price. That would imply the vehicle was in excellent condition and it was not. According to Kelley Blue Book definitions it was in less than fair condition. Fair Condition – “This car has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing, but is still in safe condition and has a clean title history.” This vehicle had MAJOR mechanical issues from day one and is now evident with the long list of repairs completed at 10 months in. It also was not in safe condition whatsoever. We no longer feel safe in that vehicle. I am not confident with the repairs that are being made. The repairs were not performed in an educated or professional matter the way that another technician with higher quality standards would have done. It's just plain bad business and lack of regard for your customer’s lives, safety and worse yet that this would occur to any buyer who paid full sticker price for a vehicle. My entire experience at this dealership has been beyond frustrating from sales to service. I think I have given their organization plenty of opportunity to change that and it has yet to happen. I have taken the vehicle in for so many visits in order for them to locate the problem, to not avail. We had to wait till the check engine light came on. Still to this day they have yet to even apologize or acknowledge the situation despite my numerous efforts to address the issue. They are simply ignoring me and hoping I will go away. More
Bought a great car. Our purchase of a new car was a pleasant experience. I would say it was a bit long, but we did reach a place where we were able to make a purchase. Our purchase of a new car was a pleasant experience. I would say it was a bit long, but we did reach a place where we were able to make a purchase. The two salesmen that assisted us were well informed on the car we wanted, and worked diligently to find us one for the right price. They worked very hard to meet our checklist of items we wanted and didn't want to pay for. Justin Gift did most of the work to sell us this car, but Evan was there to help as well. Thank you for a great job. Joan Whittley More

They didn't inspect or service a truck I bought there or fix the simple aliment problem I notified them of during the test drive (despite telling me that they did). When I called to ask them about the service history of the vehicle, I was told it was serviced AT A MILEAGE HIGHER THAN THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS and when I took the truck to an independent mechanic they pointed out several issues that should have been completed in service. Please, please, please folks, avoid this place at all costs. There is a real culture of dishonesty there and they are going to try to make a quick buck at your expense. More

Warren Regnier, the service advisor worked closely with my insurance company to get the repairs completed. Warren was thorough and very good at communicating with me. Warren demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the diesel engine in my truck and what steps were needed to provide a complete repair following an incident with contaminated fuel. I found his efforts to be 'beyond the call' and I very much appreciate his help. More

The GM, Steve Burnett, promised he would make the issues I had with my truck right. I'm still waiting...... I've taken my truck to their "service" department more than 4 times for the same issue I've had since I bought it. Do you think they fixed it? Nope. Instead Warren ignored my calls and never called me back. I guess that's how you handle a customer who hasn't been helped. Ignore them. Problem solved. Not so much. Now my check engine light is on for the same reason I brought it in four times for. I wouldn't recommend this dealership in any capacity. Not for a new or used vehicle and definitely not for your service needs. Avoid this nightmare at all costs. They don't stand by the products they sell or "service" they provide. One thing you will get you for sure is elevated blood pressure. The only reason I've come back at all is because I have a warranty there and my oil changes are free. Otherwise I would never step foot in this establishment ever again. I've been more than patient with them. It's a complete joke at this point. If I could give them zero stars I would! More
