Unfortunately we have had a very poor initial experience! Unfortunately we have had a very poor recent experience at Lithia - Chevrolet Cadillac of Bend! My son bought a one-owner 2005 Chevy Silverado Di Unfortunately we have had a very poor recent experience at Lithia - Chevrolet Cadillac of Bend! My son bought a one-owner 2005 Chevy Silverado Diesel Truck (originally purchased at, and serviced at this dealership), which was traded in on a new vehicle. Before purchasing, we were told that all the major checks were done, and the inspection was excellent. Engine was in excellent condition, as well as the exterior/interior. I wanted to take it elsewhere for an independent review, but was promptly talked out of this by the salesman...by showing me the basic reports and expressing the amazing shape this unique truck was in! THEN.... less than 2 weeks after purchase, we take the truck in to be checked, as a coolant light came on, and GUESS WHAT??? there is a major problem with the Head Gaskets! Quoted $6,000 to fix. Then told this sort of thing happens with trucks of this age. What about the assurances at purchase (12 days prior??) that all was checked thoroughly? Talking to local experts, and Chevy experts...this sort of thing DOES NOT happen overnight! It was either known, or... it should have been checked out at the moment of trade-in, or before selling. Plenty of signs as well as only a 15 minute block test. Period. We just bought a $18,000+ truck (one owner, purchased and serviced at this dealership..I might remind you)..and now told that they will give us a "great deal" and only charge us an additional $4,000 to bring it to running order. Now..it just sits in front of our home. My son and our family in utter shock and disappointment. Feeling that we were clearly taken advantage of, by Lithia Chevrolet of Bend. However, to be fair...I am going to give the ownership and the General Manager a chance to make this right, to fix what should have been repaired before selling the truck to my son. Excellent Service Had come in to the dealership for a reoccurring front axel seal leak. Evidently the previous dealership that fixed it missed a major part. Making it Easy I worked with Victor and it was another great low pressure experience. I had bought 5 fleet trucks from Victor and finally my own.
