Updated Review After Dealer Resolution As promised, I am following up on my original review of Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup. Pete Lewandowski (General Sales Manager) and Tyler Jones (Sal As promised, I am following up on my original review of Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup. Pete Lewandowski (General Sales Manager) and Tyler Jones (Salesperson) went to bat for us to help us resolve the issue we had with the used Ford F150 we purchased. They agreed to take the truck back as a trade in. They then helped us find a replacement truck. We completed the transaction on our GMC Sierra yesterday. Both Lewandowski and Jones were friendly and helpful. After talking with other friends in the auto sales business, this was resolved better then most expected. We will give them a shot at our business in the future. Original Review Below - We purchased a used Ford F150 pick up from Chevrolet of Puyallup. We decided to buy from a dealer expecting there would be more integrity and trust then there would have been with a private party purchase. It appears we chose the wrong dealer. We understand there is inherent risk buying an older used car, but to our surprise we have a car that is in horrible condition. We paid $6,200 for the truck and 38 days later we have an estimate to fix all the issues in excess of $10,000. Here are some of the major issues the dealer failed to disclose that should have have been noticed if they truly inspected the car before and after it was traded in: A sizable hole in the bell housing (new transmission is needed), transfer case heavily leaking, and rear axle seals leaking. There are many other issues. We have spoken with the sales consultant and expressed our dissatisfaction with a car with so many major issues. We have the right to expect the vehicle to be fit for ordinary use, be reasonably safe and without substantial defects. We have consulted our attorney and he suggests we try and see if we can find a solution directly with the dealer. We have sent a letter to management at Chevrolet of Puyallup, Harnish Family Auto Group, suggesting three fair scenarios to make us whole. We will update this post as things progress. We are hoping that the Chevrolet of Puyallup will work with us to rectify the problems they passed on to to us. We are hoping that they live up to what they state: "We are here to exceed your expectations, deliver the best service possible, and make car shopping fun again." I hope that I can update this post with positive comments about how this dealership stepped up and did the right thing. More
