Cherry Hill Imports responded

On the morning of August 18, 2014 rarexair called Cherry Hill Imports after finding a listing on cars.com for a 2002 BMW M5, I (Michael Gale the pre-owned Manager) answered the phone call. Rarexair inquired about the accident recorded on the Carfax. I informed him the car did have a report of an accident and the proper repairs were made to the front section of the car. I then informed rarexair the car was just traded in and I would put him in touch with Steve Shore, the salesperson who orchestrated the trade from the previous owner. Steve informed rarexair the customer was parked in a parking lot and someone drove around the corner and hit him head on. Rarexair requested photos of the car, which Steve supplied via text message. After viewing the photos rarexair had some questions regarding a rear badge on the rear of the car and he also questioned the gaps between the hood and fenders. Rarexair at that point offered $16,000.00 dollars for the car that was listed at $18,000.00. Steve approached me stating that he had an offer from rarexair at $16,000. At this point I respectfully declined his offer as another buyer inquired about 30 minutes after rarexair offer and agreed to pay the $18,000.00, which was accepted. Later in the day I answered a call to find rarexair on the other end who was upset over his dealings with Steve. Rarexair recited to me all the above; except, he told me that Steve called him and stated he would sell the car at $16,000 to him and to start getting his pre purchase inspection in order and that he texted rarexair a deposit form which is untrue. There was no buyers order sent to rarexair with a sale price of $16,000. Also Porsche of Cherry Hill never collected the supposed $1000 deposit. I asked rarexair to give me the name of the shop that he set up the inspection at so I could call them to let them know he was not buying the car and to ensure his credit card was not charged.
