I stopped in on a friday afternoon to just take a look around lot.Joel came out and met me.I explained i was shopping for a new car but was looking at other dealers also.With that info he still was eager around lot.Joel came out and met me.I explained i was shopping for a new car but was looking at other dealers also.With that info he still was eager to show me what he had to offer.I was interested in one car but told him i would drop by on sat.That sat. i visited another dealer and found another car i liked.I got their best offer and came back to see Mr.Perry.In our talks he came back with an price not as great as competing dealer.I was about to leave and purchase other car.He then told me he was not gonna let me leave without buying a car from him.He came back with a better deal and sold me a 2013 Elantra that very day. I admired him for willing to beat the other dealer price and not letting me walk.Joel Perry was very good at what he does.The one thing that clenched the deal was his willingness to make the sale without being pushy. I am a huge Ford fan. I was asked to check out what Hyundai had before buying my next car. Jason immediately greeted us. I kinda brushed him off, because no one was gonna convince me to buy anything Hyundai had before buying my next car. Jason immediately greeted us. I kinda brushed him off, because no one was gonna convince me to buy anything other than a Ford. Then I saw the new Sonata Hybrids. I was curious, so I asked Jason if I could see one. He asked me questions about what I wanted and what made Hyundai's hybrid stand apart from others. I was sold on Hyundai and Checkered Flag before I even drove the car. I change cars every 2 to 3 years, and their leasing program fits me better than other dealers. The next day, I went up to Beach Ford with my parents to show them the Fusion. Beach showed me their lease price. My folks were floored as they were loyal Ford fans too. I kindly excused myself and told them I was going to Hyundai. I returned to see Jason. My parents drilled him with questions as well. Jason made them second guess Ford as well. They still talk about how great of service Checkered Flag and brags it to family and friends. We all were most impressed when Jason said he and his manager was not satisfied with the price of the lease to offer, so they made a round of calls with the finance company. The cool thing was that the price was less than expected, so I had room for the limited model of the Sonata. The deal was done in the open around my family and not in a closed room with cameras aimed at me like the past two dealerships I have dealt with did. This is a great sign that the dealership (and Jason) does their best to impress and has great ethics and integrity. Thank you Jason for everything!! I cant stop driving the car. I'd experienced a no-nonsense car purchase at Checkered Flag - I was seeking a late model vehicle without all the bells and whistles, affordable, safe, attractive, and now. I appreciated Jeffrey's "play-by-play" notice when he'd exit the immediate area to speak with the credit manager, or someone else throughout the process. His strongest skill was in informing me what was going on, why, and when it would or wouldn't end. I'm relieved to see the run to the boss for a better deal game over. He was courteous, fun, and very professional. Turk was helpful, informative, and engagingly authentic - I feel he went above and beyond what was required. I might add as a suggestion unrelated to those employees working directly with me: prohibit employees from cell phone use during scheduled hours. I'd observed what I believe was a prospective customer duo entering the greeting area, and the focus was definitely not on them. The fact that I'd witnessed this is the issue, as I'm certain their needs were addressed eventually. You may have a procedure I'm not familiar with, but to the average Joe, this looked like disinterest, or even arrogance. On a positive note, two employees greeted me throughout the sales process - I'm used to the "vulture effect": the customer grabbed by the first salesperson is his or hers, and no one in the building speaks to you. Overall, Checkered Flag Volkswagen is a great dealership. I came to them a few months ago just to browse, and finally came back this past weekend and decided to purchase my first car. To my knowledge, my family has all purchased vehicles from Checkered Flag. Salesman Bob Rischitelli was very helpful. He wasn't pushy and wanted to make sure I was happy and comfortable with what I was buying. Although I already test-drove a Jetta a few months ago, he insisted that I drive it one more time before I make my decision. He showed me a few options but kept in mind that I had my eyes on a Jetta. I ended up purchasing the car and the paperwork took a little longer than we had expected; but Mr. Rischitelli was very patient and even joked around with my family and me for a while. Also, Randall Turk, the financial manager was very helpful. He stayed until all the paperwork was finished as well. He thoroughly explained the contracts and what was involved. Overall, everyone was really helpful, funny, and polite. I have already told my friends about Checkered Flag VW and the people there. I would keep recommending Checkered Flag to everyone. They are awesome. More
