Don't trust their quote I went to Checkered Flag VW and was unable to negotiate an acceptable price on a Jetta TDI wagon and left. The next day I received an email offering a reasonable price, that stated the price was out the door total. I made an appointment to go back to sign the papers. Got to the dealership, they had the car ready, I signed the papers to begin the financing, and one of the managers came up and told me that he couldn't sell me the car at the price it was offered. I told him I HAD THE QUOTE IN WRITING and he said that he still couldn't do it. DON'T TRUST THEM! I asked why he couldn't call me and tell me this before my appointment and he didn't have an answer. I left without buying. I have spoken with Todd Collins since this incident and he has apologized and explained the circumstances. He was unaware of this at the time it happened, and was very professional and nice. I would suggest speaking with him if you have any problems. More

I brought my vehicle to Checkered Flag Volkswagen for service (replace upper control arms/tie rods) etc... The repair was good, but while in the dealership for service, my radio was removed and the glov service (replace upper control arms/tie rods) etc... When I brought this to the attention of the service advisor, the manager, and the dealership, they all turned deaf ears and did NOTHING to fix the problem. I wrote the Checkered Flag Corporate Dealership twice and never got a response from them. I contacted the dealerships insurance carrier and they said that I waited too long and that the dealership was no longer responsible. All kinds of lies were said by the insurance carrier even though they didn't even take time to listen to what happened. They just didn't want to repair my car which was damaged by their insured. When I went back for service, I saw this card and I had to rate the Checkered Flag Volkswagen dealership based on how poorly they are when it comes to problems. They don't mind smiling in the ideal situation which is when the do a repair and charge you a high price and you pay, which I have done because I have been a longstanding customer with them. They have excellent mechanics and up until the departure of Jeff Bruyner (my old service advisor), I never had a problem because he was outstanding also. New employees and disingenuous service advisors supported by their manager (Candace) that try to rip you off is what they have now. There is now a new service advisor also named Candace and I don't want to confuse the employees, because she had nothing to do with my negative experience. More

I have visited this dealership several times since purchasing my Sante Fe Sport from them.
