My wife and I had an unusual problem: purchasing a car for a grandson, who lives 400 miles from us. After conferring with dealerships near us (northern NJ), we searched the website for Hyundai dealerships for a grandson, who lives 400 miles from us. After conferring with dealerships near us (northern NJ), we searched the website for Hyundai dealerships in Chesapeake; Checkered Flag stood out as a reasonable, reliable dealership. Mr. Jeff Griffin was our contact--and he was an excellent one at that. He guided us through all of the preliminary stages of model selection --always explaining carefully what options we had, and making it perfectly clear what additional prices would be involved. When it came to final pricing, he insured that we received all of the discounts for which we were eligible....He also tracked down the vehicle with the specific color that our grandson desired, and added did not charge for the "extras" that had come with that specific car.....Jeff honored all of the special requests that we had concerning procedures (for there were some family issues). When it came time for our grandson to get his Elantra, Jeff volunteered to drive to pick him up at his high school. Jeff then guided the grandson through all of the steps that needed to be completed. All in all, we were delighted with our experience with this dealership, particularly with the professional , courteous, knowledgeable treatment that we received from Mr. Griffin. I am incredibly pleased with my entire experience at Checkered Flag Hyundai! I had a terrible experience with Hall Jeep the day before and was somewhat skidish of all dealerships. The complete honesty they gave me was pleasant to see. I have had horrible experiences with previous dealerships and this dealership was complete opposite. After searching on the internet and visiting several used car dealers, we looked in the VA Pilot on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The advertisement for a new 2013 Elantra was unbelievable! The price was less exp car dealers, we looked in the VA Pilot on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The advertisement for a new 2013 Elantra was unbelievable! The price was less expensive than the used cars we had looked at and the options were more than we could imagine. Throughout the process, our salesman, Mr. Griffin, provided excellent customer service. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and professional. The finance manager gave the facts and accepted our decisions without pressure. The overall shopping experience was pleasant.
