7 weeks in service to get my vehicle fixed We took our car in so the problems could be assessed. They determined the problems and ordered the parts and told us to bring our vehicle back when t We took our car in so the problems could be assessed. They determined the problems and ordered the parts and told us to bring our vehicle back when the parts came in. A week later we were told the parts came in so we dropped off our car, picked up a rental, and went on our way. What we thought would only take a week tops. Turned out to be 6-7 weeks! Throughout the duration, there was an employee change THREE times...so our case kept getting transferred to a different person and no one ever called to tell us and give us their name and number so we can reach them if we have a question. No one seemed to know what was going on with our car. Come to find out, about 5 of those weeks our car was just SITTING in the body shop because they were waiting for a part to come in. (Umm..i thought the parts were already ordered...). Then they had to order another part. It was for sure the worst service we have gotten at a Hyundai and we have had their vehicles since 2004 and have been to three different Hyundai dealerships across the country. Not impressed, and I am disappointed we will have to take our vehicle there to get serviced again (since we have the warranty--its free). More
Great Sales Team Poor Service I would like to take a moment to outline my horrible experience with the Hyundai Service members My appointment was scheduled for 4/21/15 and was note I would like to take a moment to outline my horrible experience with the Hyundai Service members My appointment was scheduled for 4/21/15 and was noted as a drop off in the morning with the use of a rental car. When I arrived I would like to point out that I was greeted at the door by Huy however, I was told to deal with Amanda. I spoke with Amanda and was told that my car was being sent to Walts Water Work's, a local water leak specialist. After this discussion I was asked did I have time to wait for my loaner to be washed, to which I replied no. It is my opinion that this should have been ready for me as they knew that I was coming. The car was filthy with the looks of white paint or scuffs in the back of the car and on the passenger seat. There was no GPS service in the vehicle because the SD card was not in the vehicle. The car had no mats in the vehicle and I signed a paper stating it had full gas only to find it had ¾ of a tank of gas. Now to review the communication, or lack thereof that I received from Hyundai: 4/21 - I received no phone calls to status my vehicle. I called them and left a message for Huy at approximately 4:30 PM requesting information on my vehicle. 4/22 - At approximately 3:30 PM I still had not heard from anyone so I called in and asked for Huy whom I was told to deal with. Someone in the call center, I believe Michelle, was kind enough to find him after I voiced my concerns about not hearing from anyone for two days. At 3:45 PM Huy advised that he had not heard back from Walts and that they were difficult to get a hold of. I inturn asked that he please find out something and call me back as they close at 4:30 PM. At 5:30PM I still had not heard back from Huy so I called again. At this time I was informed that my car had not even made it to Walts, to which I asked why did he state earlier that he was having difficulty reaching them and had no information back from them. Being extremely pissed off I asked to speak to Amanda. Amanda advised that they were having difficulty getting my car over to Walts but they would be sure to get it there by 4/23. 4/23 - I called looking for an update on my vehicle and was unable to reach anyone. At this time I decided to call Walts directly to see if they even had my vehicle, which they did! I spoke with a man named Russ, very nice and helpful guy. I went over some of the issued related to the water leaking with him and he advised that none of that had been relayed to him from Hyundai. At approximately 4:45 PM I received a call from Amanda updating me on my vehicle, to which she mentioned she knew that I had spoke Walts directly. 4/24 - At 4:30 PM I had received no call to status my vehicle. I left a message for both Huy and Amanda. Being that is was Friday I called back at 5PM to find out something. I spoke with Huy and he said they had not heard from Walts and would I be ok staying in the loaner. I advised Huy that even if I didn't want to it was not going to matter because Walt's closes at 4:30 PM. I asked him questions about the warranty process and the possibilities of not being able to duplicate the leak and what my next step would be. Huy responded that he did not know. At that time I asked to speak with Amanda. He advised that she was in a meeting, so I asked that he please have her call me back before she left so that I could be informed. 4/25 & 4/26 - the weekend passed with no information being given on Friday ( No call back form Amanda) Today 4/26 @ 9:53 I received a call from Walts as they have called Hyundai with an update on my vehicle and have heard nothing back. I was informed of the status of my vehicle and that information will be left in my vehicle so that I can bring the vehicle back by when it is leaking so that they can see the leak and determine where it is coming from. Im really ok with knowing that I am receiving the vehicle back without it being repaired and I fully understand that these things may take time to duplicate or visually see the water coming in the vehicle. Im not ok with not being kept in the loop, being lied to, and not having my calls returned. I really don't think it is asking for too much when you ask for a phone call a day. I think that it is absolutely ridiculous for me to receive better service form Walts than the company that I took my vehicle to in the first place. Walts kept me more informed about my vehicle than Amanda or Huy. More

The staff were knowledgable and friendly, and they did a great job handling my trade and finding me the best leasing deal. Outstanding service and a great selection of vehicles. I've also had my first service visit, for the interior treatment I purchased, and it also went very smoothly. They were ready at the scheduled appointment time, and had a loaner for me to use for the day. I've very impressed with all aspects of the dealership. Great job, Checkered Flag Hyundai! More

The Hyundai service shop on 3033 Virginia Beach Blvd. is the worst experience I've ever had, careless and unprofessional staff. You need to make an appointment even for oil change three weeks in advance, and to be taking care of you like you just walk in. Ridiculous! I have leased (2) 2013 Hyundai's, and when the lease is mature I'll never come back again. The service manager Johnnie Landers is careless and superficial. He suggested me to leave the car for couples days in the shop, but when asked for rental he told me that rental is limited. I realized quick who I'm dealing with. More

Was told that courtesy car washes were no longer given & found out a year later that this wasn't true. Had been told that vacuums were never part of a courtesy...that isn't true. Reverse lights were not hooked up once tail light hardware had been replaced (this has been resolved but it still never should've happened.)I was so dissatisfied I was going to go to another dealership for maintenance work and the ONLY reason I haven't done so is Abby Witmer, the customer service gal...(as well as Jonathan). Both of these young people are friendly and courteous. Jonathan took c/o my tail light problem and Abby is phenomenal in getting me an appt, finding out the problem, & quoting me correct prices. She is friendly, professional, and me, old enough to be her grandmother, I truly appreciate her helpfulness! I NEVER got a survey to comment on this young lady although I'm told I should always get one after every visit. I have yet to get one so this young woman has never gotten her fair share of scores from me. More
