I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction and outrage regarding the recent service experience I encountered at Checkered Flag Honda. My 2019 Honda Civic suffered an oil leak i dissatisfaction and outrage regarding the recent service experience I encountered at Checkered Flag Honda. My 2019 Honda Civic suffered an oil leak issue, which led to the necessity of towing the vehicle to your service center on January 5th. My discontent with Checkered Flag Honda dates back to July when I visited the service center for an oil change. During this visit, despite multiple confirmations from the staff, I was left stranded for over two hours without the promised Uber ride to my workplace. This negligence resulted in significant inconvenience and explanations owed to my employer for my delayed arrival. The situation exacerbated in December when I discovered a gas leak in my vehicle. Despite scheduling an appointment with your service center for January, two days before the scheduled date, my car signaled an error, prompting me to check the oil. Fearing for my safety, I arranged to have the car towed to your center early, seeking assurance regarding this action from your representatives, which was granted. Upon inspection, your team attributed the issue to Firestone, stating that they had left the oil cap loose during the last service. However, this information was incorrect, as it was Checkered Flag Honda who had conducted the preceding service and failed to properly secure the oil cap. This mistake caused immense frustration and placed an unnecessary financial burden on me. Furthermore, when I was informed that my vehicle was ready for pickup and instructed to pay through a provided link and arrive at the service center by 8:30 on a Saturday, I promptly adhered to these instructions. Despite arriving at 7:30 as instructed, the facility was inexplicably closed, demonstrating a complete lack of coordination or accuracy in providing correct operational hours. This was a significant inconvenience after following the given instructions meticulously. What compounded my disappointment further was discovering a Checkered Flag Honda flyer the next day, outlining the benefits available to customers purchasing a Honda vehicle from your dealership. These benefits included towing and rental services, services that would have been invaluable and greatly alleviated the stress I endured during this ordeal. Despite my repeated communications regarding my predicament, no such considerations were offered to me. This entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, tarnishing my trust and confidence in Checkered Flag Honda's service reliability and customer care. I can sincerely say the next car I buy will not be with Checkered Flag Honda. More

I called 5pm was told my car was not there. got there at 5:15pm there were no service reps in the area only 2 other upset customers. then i asked for my key, they couldnt find them, then after 30 min they found them in the drop box envelope unopened. telling me that the work will be done tomorrow morning. i work More

They sold me a car with $5000 of repairs it needed. I was told that this car had no problems. I trusted this dealership because of the reviews, and because I didn't want to deal with other car selling I was told that this car had no problems. I'm a senior on social security, so I'm not happy when CarShield tells me that this was all pre-existing. I was in April for the state inspection and it was rejected. I don't have the money to repair some things that should have been taken care of before the car was sold. I also have tried numerous times and left numerous messages for Janelle to call me back. It's been weeks now, and I'm still driving with a rejection sticker. I also don't have AC. It was working just fine until April, and now it won't work. I think someone caused it to stop working to get my money that I don't have. Now I have to drive a car with no AC in the summer heat, and I have serious health issues. I had also bought the car in for tire rotation in October, and they didn't say a peep about anything wrong. That tells me that they just did the rotation and sent me home without doing their 32 point inspection. They are quick to sell you a car, but then the service dept. falls short. Nobody will talk with me. I'm considering 10 on your side or getting a lawyer. I really thought this dealership would be the best, and very disappointed to find out they don't care once they sell you the car. Brendan Powell lied to me to sell me this car. I trusted him. More
This dealership service center sucks. Including management. We bought a 2022 Honda Accord Touring and sold it three months later because this service center completely dismissed rhe thre Including management. They also won't let you talk to the regional Honda Rep. We had pictures of the car malfunctioning and had another problem that a different mechanic, outside of Honda, found within minutes and another issue you could visibly see but they still dismissed the problems. Corporate Honda was absolutely no better and wouldn't do anything because they were counting on Checkered Flag to tell them what was up but the bottom line, they both should take customer concerns seriously especially on a brand new car. We sold the car and bought another Lexus. At least we know they stand behind their vehicles. I have not had a single issue with the Lexus. Run away from this service center if you have a problem. They will NOT help you More

Sat in checkered flags waiting room for 3. 5 hours to have my brand new 2022 looked at for 3 issues. All I can say is they suck. They attempted to diagnose a problem with ventilated seats by sitting in the seats and then saying nothing was wrong. My son actually put a digital temperature reader on the seats and found there was a problem. When he started investigating he found that not all the plastic was removed from the seat and it was blocking air flow. And the other two issues I had still are NOT resolved but I have contacted Honda Corporate. I will never take my vehicle back to Checkered Flag. They are extremely incompetent and their customer service is horrible. More
I went in for a cranking issue repair. Then after a few hours the service writer claimed that it needed a starter AND that they also found that the timing belt was about to break. She replied “ cause the mechanic can hear it.” I said that me and other reputable mechanics heard absolutely no abnormal noise. I said, “how do u know that it’s not coming from somewhere else?” She replied, “ well the mechanic took the timing cover off and seen it hanging off, half ripped and about to snap at anytime.” So I approved the starter replacement and immediately declined the “”timing belt repair”… due to me being highly suspicious, being that the timing belt was replaced by a reputable shop only 9,000 miles ago. I then took it back to the shop that replaced the belt 9,000 miles ago and told them that Checkered flag claimed that the timing belt needed to be changed immediately cause they CLAIMED that they HEARD and SEEN that the timing belt was bout to snap. The shop then did the repair and they showed me the old timing belt as it was getting removed…and to my surprise::: the timing belt was fully INTACT, on the gears correctly, and NOT in danger of snapping like Checkered flag service had CLAIMED. It was obvious as the 4 mechanics in the shop of the original timing belt repair was shocked and amused as it was obvious that Checkered Flag Honda made a FALSE CLAIM in order to boost their sales revenues. I have been going to that Checkered Flag for years, however, this is the very first time that they tried to scam me into a absolutely unnecessary repair. It is obvious that they thought that they had my trust after all of these years, and they felt like I would PANIC and act off of fear and approve of their “” scam repair.”” I was definitely disappointed to see this…as it was obvious that a timing belt repair is HIGHLY profitable for them….to the point that they would LIE and claim that they heard and seen it torn and about to snap. My advice…watch them, and if it sounds too suspicious, or if the repair doesn’t make sense…. Then make SURE that u get a SECOND opinion elsewhere at a reputable shop….as they have proven that they are capable and very WILLING to lie in order to boost sales. More
We purchased a new 2021 Honda CRV last April. The purchase process was excellent and I gave them five stars. On February 11th we had to take our car in for service because the safety drivability systems flashed warnings that the radar system was malfunctioning which made the cruise control inoperable. The service writer started talking about damage before the car was ever seen. The appointment time was 11am. It was 4pm before the car was looked at. After a few minutes the service writer came to get us and said that the radar sensor was not working and had been damaged. There was no sign of damage in the grille area but she said that warranty would not cover it and the cost would be $1,080. She put on the repair order that there was scuff marks in the grill area where the radar sensor is located. There was clearly no scuff marks anywhere on the grille. I talked to Honda and they told me to get a second opinion. I took the car to another dealer which got the car in immediately and spent two hours diagnosing the problem (not 15 minutes). The problem was not the radar sensor at all, but something totally different. She was going to have us spending out of pocket almost 11 hundred dollars for a part that was not bad. The car had around 13,800 miles on it. Your service writer needs to let the technicians do the diagnosing. I could not be happier with the second dealer's caring service and I will be getting service there from now on. Keep in mind my complaints are about the service department only. The sales process was excellent. More
