Customer Service is a hard thing to find these days... especially in the new car sales arena, but after our experience with Carl Dyson, and the Checkered Flag organization, I am glad we chose to buy our s especially in the new car sales arena, but after our experience with Carl Dyson, and the Checkered Flag organization, I am glad we chose to buy our second honda from him (I bought an Accord from Checkered Flag in 1986, the year my daughter was born). Carl met us at the door and I told him I wanted to test drive a Pilot before doing anything else...so I could compare it to a new Explorer we thought we would be getting (We have a 2003 Eddie Bower Explorer, and thought we needed another SUV). After driving the Pilot... my wife started looking at the new Accord in the showroom, and Carl set us up to test drive that one also... His customer service, willingness to give us what we wanted, his personality and humor gave us a comfort level that we were dealing with someone that cared about what we wanted. We came back the next day, picked one out and Carl met with us both and showed us some of the bells and whistles of our new technomobile... He also offered to meet with us this week to continue the training.... As a people person, had we not met up with Carl, we can't say the basic New Car Saleman would of closed the deal for us. I would definately recommend this dealership to anyone. I received a flyer in the mail because I had recently filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy asking me to come into the dealearship. I was a bit leary at firs I received a flyer in the mail because I had recently filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy asking me to come into the dealearship. I was a bit leary at first because it was one of those you have been pre-qualilified for a loan and we can get you approved type deals. So I thought about it for a little while and decided to give the person on the flyer a call. This was the General Manager Robert Chen. I gave him a call at 9:33am on December 28, I gave him the Authorization Code off the letter that he had sent out to me and some more of the pertinent information to get you started with the purchase process. He said Ms. Sharpe it is going t take me a couple of hours but I will get back with you to let ypu know what we can do for you. By 1:30pm that same day Mr. Chen called me back and told me that I was approved for a vehicle and to come in with NO MONEY DOWN!!! I was estatic! I told him that I would be right over. When I got there I was greeted by a very nice receptionist and shortly after Mr. Chen came over and stated that he had already picked out a choice for me. Then he introduced me to Paul Sudo my Sales Representative. Everyone was very friendly and I didn't wait long at all to speak with anyone. As a matter of fact I have never been into a dealership where all of the Sales Reps either acknowledge you and ask you how you are doing or let you know that someone will be working with you very shortly. My entire experience was wonderful. Paul went over everything detail by detail and even sat down and explained my credit report to me and my husband. Mark Joseph the Finance Manager was very thorough with the paperwork. He explained all the details so that I could understand because I had never made a major car purchase before. After the deal was done my Sales Rep Paul Sudo walked me out to my new car and went over every feature that the vehicle had before I left the car lot. He even showed me how to adjust my seat so that it would be comfortable. He has sent several emails making sure that I'm satisfied with my purchase and whenever I call with any questions he is very willing to answer. My overall experience with Honda was a great one and I would tell anyone to make a purchase from Checkered Flag Honda!!!! As a matter of fact to go to someone else to make a purchase would be absolutely ludicrous! I can almost guarantee that you will not be treated with the friendliness and thoroughness that Checkered Flag Honda provided!!! There are two dealers locally for Honda; Hall and Checkered Flag. I used to go to Hall because it was somewhat closer. I do nearly all of my own service too. When I shopped parts, I would generally g Checkered Flag. I used to go to Hall because it was somewhat closer. I do nearly all of my own service too. When I shopped parts, I would generally go with Checkered Flag. They were often cheaper and the online lookup parts illustrations are great for my needs. I decided to take my Accord coupe in for a state inspection and to have an intermittent SRS light looked at. I spoke with Jim Sauceda, who let me know up front about the cost for looking at an intermittent problem and any possible outcomes. I really appreciated this because as I said, I do my own service and hate surprises. The inspection and diagnosis came back pretty much like Jim and I thought it would. Terry Ruffin (my assigned advisor) got the parts (seat belt buckles bad, both seats) on order and would call when they came in to set up an appointment. Since they knew I was staying, they had the car done in a few hours which is very considerate. The followup appointment was scheduled and I also had them do a 4 wheel alignment. This was a drop off appointment. This went very well and Terry (re)confirmed the codes in the computer for the latches being bad; very thorough. One of the recommended services (from the initial inspection) was to change out the power steering fluid which I decided to do myself. Your parts guys are great and told me how much I'd need to do the job. While I was there, I spoke with Carl Dyson in sales to see if they had any 6 speed V6 Accord Coupes on the lot. Carl said that one had just come in and went all the way in the back to "dig it out" of inventory (it's not a popular mpodel choice!). He took the time to show me everything on the new Accords and we test drove it. Carl was very helpful and WASN'T pushy! When I went to pick up my vehicle later that day, imagine my surprise when I saw that not only was the work done, but they had taken the time to wash my car and thoroughly clean the interior! Not just halfway either, it was a very nice job! Needles to say, I won't be taking my business to Hall Honda in the future; not because they do a bad job or anything, but because your folks (service, parts, and sales) all do such a great job.
