I’ll admit that after that experience, I had decided that I would never buy from this dealership again. Back then, they did not have negotiation-free pricing. As a young buyer with no experience, I discovered that I really over-payed for my vehicle. When it was time to buy again, I went to other Honda places that are closer to my home in Chesapeake, but the salesmen always turned me off. I was still going to Checkered Flag for my free yearly inspections on my 2002 Accord and just decided to venture over to the sales department. I am very happy that I did. Since my last experience, they had switched how they did business. My salesman Nate seemed is a genuinely happy to work there. My experience was never the car-buying norm of going into a battle for a low price, but truly about showing what the dealership had to offer and giving his all to be of service to me, the customer. Even with the no-haggle policy, I came out paying $2000 less for my new CR-V than the final offer prices I received when “negotiating” at other places. Thank you, Checkered Flag, for changing your sales policy and for allowing salesmen like Nate the freedom to truly serve customers as they ponder making big purchasing decisions. More

Being in college, 4 hours from home means you don't get to have mom and dad help you look at cars and decide which ones to think about and it also makes less than trustworthy dealers able to take advantage of you and lack of overall knowledge. Not Checkered Flag Honda. I got to work with two great salesmen, Mike and Nate who spent the time to get to know my budget, my wants in a car, and how to find a car that matched me well. Never pressuring or pushing me towards a specific vehicle or trying to get me to look at a car I wouldn't be interested in (they knew what I was looking for!). Not only are they very professional salesmen, they're both very nice and polite. If I could redo the car shopping experience I would've gone with them first! More

Best Customer Service ever! Being that I’m only 18 years old and not knowing to much about car loans and such I was afraid to go to a car dealership and get terrible customer ser Being that I’m only 18 years old and not knowing to much about car loans and such I was afraid to go to a car dealership and get terrible customer service. I talked to my chain of command in the United States Navy and they recommend me to this dealership. Thankfully with my dealer Nate D. Allen being a navy veteran he was more understandable as far as my pay and what I could afford without breaking me. I visited a couple of dealerships before in my life with my parents and the moment you walk through that door the only thought in their head is they are selling you a car. My experience at this dealership happened to be a little different mind you his goal was still to sell me a car! Nate actually got to know me a little before even looking into cars he wanted me to feel comfortable being at a dealership for my first time by myself. He didn’t just want to sell me any car he wanted me to Love the car I was going to purchase. I had looked into a certain car I wanted and had went to speak to the bank as far as getting a loan. Nate happened to be on vacation at the time I got the loan and was still helping me and walking me through things without even being at work!
