After twelve years, I decided it was time to replace my '98 CRV with a new one (a 2009 Ex-L with Navigation System). I knew what features I wanted and shopped at all three local Honda dealerships. Vernon was by far the most helpful, kind, knowledgeable and willing to negotiate of all of the salespeople with whom we spoke. He was willing to go out of his way to help us find the perfect car and didn't pressure us to take a different style or color (that he had on the lot) or try to over charge us in any way. Once the car arrived, he made the purchasing process easy. He was extremely willing, able and helpful in teaching me to use the new components (the navigation and music system in particular) and had gone through all of the manuals for the car and highlighted and dog-eared the most relevant pages so the information would be easily accessible. I would highly recommend him and Checker Flag Honda to anyone. More
Ray was fantastic, as was his manager, Mike. Ray was really friendly, & after intending to spend the whole day hopping around looking at used cars (Checkered Flag Honda was my first stop), Mike ended up really friendly, & after intending to spend the whole day hopping around looking at used cars (Checkered Flag Honda was my first stop), Mike ended up giving me a deal I couldn't pass up on the VW Golf I went there to look at in the first place (& fell in love with). A few hours after I arrived home with my Golf, Ray called to tell me they found a better APR with my bank. Excellent customer service! I definitely recommend them! More
We really enjoyed the no haggle pricing that your dealership offered and felt that the team members had our best interest at heart. I did find a lower price online for a lease of the same vehicle but dealership offered and felt that the team members had our best interest at heart. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family members and am happy with the overall experience. I plan to continue purchasing my Hondas at Checkered Flag in Va Beach but will do more research on prices the next time I come. Thanks for a great experience! More

I did have some problems at the Dealership but none of them were Dennis's fault. He did work with me on the price due to my poor credit and he talked to the finance manager to get a lower price overall. them were Dennis's fault. The problems I had were that I had send them the documents in the morning that had all the pay, contact, and residence information them and they had not done anything with it when I got to the dealership for my appointment. So we had to start from scratch in filling out paperwork that could have already been done. The biggest issue that I had was that after the Finance manager and I had agreed on a final monthly payment he had me go to the girl that does all the paperwork and she tried to add the gap insurance and another warranty to the 2008 honda that still had a warranty. I had to argue with her a little bit and it pretty much irritated me. I was getting the impression that they were not going to stick to the deal that we had agreed to and so I threatened to walk out and then she backed off. I know everyone is trying to make some money, but once a deal is made that is it. She basically said it was the finance manager's fault or that he couldn't tell me about the other stuff. I didn't by that at all. I do think that even though my credit could be better they could have given me a better interest rate. I guess it was a good compromise overall, but they were pushing pretty hard. My insurance company USAA said they would refinance it for me and get me a better deal. As far as salesmen go, I would go back to see Dennis anytime. He did a great. And after the sale, one of the other salesman that were not busy helped me figure out how the Element seats worked. I do look forward to seeing the guys down there again. More

Internet sales are great. We pre-negotiated the vehicle, came in, drove it, and bought it. No haggling - everyone happy.
