It is my understanding that if you make an appointment then your car will be done within a few hours of that appointment time regardless of whether or not you drop your car off or are waiting for it. I dropped my car off on a Friday night for a Saturday 9 AM appt. It was not. completed until Monday at 11. I had to call foe an update Saturday multiple times before I spoke with my service advisor and then I was told it hadn’t been started yet. It would have been less of an inconvenience if I had been told at the time of making the appointment or dropping it off that I’d be without a car for the entire weekend. I had to change my family’s schedule around to accommodate the loss of one car die the entire day. The service advisor I had was understanding of my frustration but I would have liked more communication/ understanding of what was expected. If the service teams are so behind then less appointments should be scheduled and/or expectations should be shared with clients. More

The recent service was good (timely, courteous, loaner auto) and the dealership absorbed the costs. I expect that it may also negatively impact your standing with both current and potential customer as numerous people asked during the month it took to get my car fixed, "why is the paint coming off your new Outback?" Obviously, the previous work was not performed to industry standards. I hope those responsible get further training. More

I made an appointment on June 2, 2021, to have my 2015 Outback serviced. The first available appointment was for June 23, 9:30 AM. The requested service was oil and filter change, tire rotation, check/s Outback serviced. The first available appointment was for June 23, 9:30 AM. The requested service was oil and filter change, tire rotation, check/service air conditioning system, and perform the recall of replacing the front exhaust pipe assembly. The expectation when scheduling the service appointment three weeks out is that I would wait for the service to be completed on the same day that I brought the vehicle in. When I arrived on June 23, at 9:15 AM, I was told the service work likely would take two days because of the backup in the service department. I was provided a loaner vehicle. I then had to drive back to my home in St. Simons Island (75 miles and an hour and 20 minutes). I was able to return and pick up my 2015 Outback the following day on June 24. In short, I had to drive my car and the loaner a total of 300 miles for this service. My reason for asking that the air conditioning system be checked and serviced as needed is because it has been taking a longer than expected amount of time for the air conditioner to begin cooling. I am very disappointed to say that the problem was not addressed. Rather than diagnosing the cooling system and completing any needed repair, the service provided was: "climate control cleaning completed a/c refresher-sanitizer service." Driving back to Savannah to have the air conditioner truly diagnosed and repaired as needed is not an option. With the Subaru dealership being 75 miles from my home, the expectation is that the requested work would have been completed when the vehicle was there and had to be left. This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I likely will not return to Chatham Parkway Subaru for any additional service (the Subaru dealership in Jacksonville is an equal distance from my home). Further, this experience has me seriously considering selling the 2015 Outback and purchasing another vehicle for which I might be able to receive much better service.
