As is normally the case, there are always two sides to every story. Chatham Parkway Lexus had no obligation to replace your new vehicle shortly after delivery, however, in an endeavor to satisfy you, chose to do so with no further expense on your part. This process could not happen overnight as we had to locate and ship the new car in and arrange for transfer of collateral paperwork as well. Apparently, the expectation was for this to happen immediately. Furthermore, upon your call to Lexus corporate, they agreed to reimburse you for two payments, which they also had no obligation to do. This reimbursement is coming directly from Lexus, not Chatham Parkway Lexus. Chatham Parkway Lexus will always do everything we possible can to assist and satisfy a guest of ours. It is our sincere belief that we did everything we could to satisfy you but now understand, that was impossible.

Chatham Parkway Lexus would first like to start by saying we will post the response below to your review across all platforms in which you have posted it so that we can publically address the situation at hand. On DATE we show that you brought in your 2004 RX 330 for the Lexus extended warranty that covered your dash replacement. When you came to pick up your vehicle we informed you that the vehicle had to be jumpstarted in order to have in brought around to you, not due to anything involved in the dash replacement. Our service advisor advised you that the vehicle would need an alternator and that the battery was possibly going dead due to the alternator not charging the battery. At this time, we noted that you decided against having either repair done. Once you left the dealership, you returned a few moments later, due to the vehicle not making out of the dealership lot, and decided to have the battery replaced instead of the recommended alternator as you did not want us to do any repair work. When your vehicle was brought back around to you and still was having trouble staying cranked we recommended the alternator again to you. At this time, you choose to take it to your own mechanic to have it looked at. When you return to the dealership to discuss the issue of the ideal relearn that your mechanic recommended, and performed, we understand the situation got heated. As we did not un-program any electronics, and your mechanic performed the idol relearn, we made sure to have your back window reset for you since that was not something that your mechanic was able to finish. At that time our Service Manager reviewed the repair orders with you and your mechanic with exactly what we had done to your vehicle. At that time, as you state above your mechanic makes a comment that the manager “should sit down before he gets ****** off”. It is our process that in situations like this we advise the customer to leave so that further conflict does not ensue. You and your mechanic were advised to leave the dealership in which you state above you continued to go through the dealership, “I was very loud and did a little bit of swearing in the service center” and express your distain for the situation at hand. Since your vehicle had been left in the service lane it was blocking vehicles from getting through. At Chatham Parkway Lexus we have a specific process for moving vehicles through the lot and to different areas. Since your vehicle was blocking the lane you were asked to have it moved in order to ensure the safety of our employees and customers as they follow a specific process in moving vehicles. When you refused to move your vehicle serval times, while waiting for the GM, you were told that we would have to have it towed out of the way if you did not get it moved. At the effort to resolve the conflict the General Manager offered to refund your money for the battery since you felt that you did not need either service after you had your own mechanic look. Please keep in mind that we did not recommend the battery but did recommend the alternator. While the battery may put a band aid on the problem, we have no way to know how long that will last before an alternator will be needed, as was also mentioned to you. We do not want to apologize for a repair that we recommend as we make to sure recommend any services that will keep our customers vehicles working for the time that they own them. At no point do we want our customers to experience any sort of conflict at our dealership, however, we expect our customers to have the same sort of respect for us as we have for them.. We value our customers and want to make sure every customer has a positive experience as we are always in the pursuit of perfection.

You have danced around the entire issue with this response still taking no blame for the mistake and giving no apology .My mechanic was trying to derail a very hostile situation from which the service manager created. I suggest your service manager take some anger management and self control classes .And by the way my Old 2004 rx 330 with 130,000 miles and it's original alternator are running like a champ.

Chatham Parkway Lexus prides itself on their high level of customer satisfaction and adhering to Lexus core values. However, the dealership can not be held responsible for issues totally unrelated to the issue that the repair order was written for. This was explained to you on several occasions. Furthermore, you failed to disclose that you were upset because you could not negotiate our repair cost and that you have damaged our loaner car and complained to Lexus corporate when we were duty-bound to report this.
