They know their inventory and can answer every question I pose or get me the answer right there on the spot. Everyone is friendly and talks to you in language you can understand, i,e., they simplify what the user manuals are attempting to tell you. I've always found their pricing competitive, fair, and have never felt pressured. The facility is inviting and the Service Dept. is an enjoyable wait with TV, newspapers, lots of room, daylight, and quick service for oil changes, tire rotations. Plus if you buy or lease at Charlie's, you get free car washes for the life of the vehicle. The coffee and donuts aren't bad either. I don't think about shopping around because I've been well-treated for 24 years and never once have I thought I could have gotten a better deal somewhere else. For me, what's not to like? 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. More

Just two hours from our destination, the transfer case on ou My husband and I were making a 15-hour-drive from Ohio to Acadia National Park in Maine. Just two hours from our destination, the transfer case on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler exploded, leaving us stranded on the highway in Augusta. Our vehicle was towed to the nearest Jeep dealership, Charlie’s Motor Mall. We were shaken up, stressed about getting to our vacation, and unsure when the Jeep could be repaired. The team at Charlie’s worked quickly to get us in a rental, even moving luggage and supplies for us from our Jeep into the rental! We were back on the road in no time. Over the next few days, Charlie’s worked closely with our insurance company to expedite the repairs, keeping us informed at every turn. Not only did they fix our Jeep in record time, they also addressed an unrelated warranty issue which offered us the rental vehicle at no charge! Thanks to Cory, Heidi, Steve and the gang, we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation. Turns out Maine is a beautiful state… and home to a lot of great people. More

Bad Business Practices After much hesitation due to all the negative things I have always heard about Charlie's Motor Mall, I actually purchased a vehicle from them in Octob After much hesitation due to all the negative things I have always heard about Charlie's Motor Mall, I actually purchased a vehicle from them in October 2017; at the time the 2009 Honda CRV I purchased had 122k miles on it. I want to be clear the salesman was actually a really nice guy, not pushy or demanding at all, when it came to the finance department the next evening though that is a different story. I was offered an extended warranty which at first I was inclined to pass on, but being that it is n older higher mileage vehicle I said I would consider it, then the gentleman told me the warranty was offered by my credit union and the option that I had considered was essentially "bumper to bumper", and all repairs would be done at a dealership with a $100.00 deductible. Stupidly I purchased it. Not long after the purchase of the vehicle the transmission started to shudder between 2nd and 3rd gear sometimes. I bring the CRV to Charlie's Honda service, their first solution is to essentially spray the under carriage to see if there was loosed dirt and grime in there, ok no problem I see their point. The shudder comes back of course as this was not the problem; their second solution is to change the transmission fluid, at my cost but again I understand that this could be the problem and I get that there are some things I would have to pay out of pocket for before any expensive repairs. In the meantime another Honda certified mechanic determined it is the Torque Converter, a part which is listed as being covered under my extended warranty. I mention this when I brought it in for an oil change, tire rotation and front end alignment yesterday. The service department essentially scoffed at me, told me I needed to spend another $320.00 out of pocket for a transmission burnish, and that there is no way to diagnose a bad Torque Converter. I disagreed with them, asked how much money I need to spend out of pocket before they would even contact the warranty company to see what could be done, they ignored my question and never gave me an answer. I picked up the vehicle last night after the service center closed, drove about 7 miles home not over 35mph; on my less than 10 mile commute to work this morning my steering wheel started to shake violently at 40mph and it felt like my tire was going to fall off the car, luckily I was close to my work. THE LUG NUTS ON ALL 4 OF MY TIRES WERE SO LOOSE I COULD TIGHTEN THEM WITH MY FINGERS. So essentially Charlie's sells a crap extended warranty that they will not honor and then apparently tries to kill you when you complain. More

I liked it the last time I bought a Jeep in 2018 so much that I went back and bought I like Charlie's Motor Mall because they can't do enough for you.
