The customer service was terrible. No one was friendly acted like I was bothering them when I showed up for my scheduled appointment- which they kept sending me texts all the time since scheduling up to 3 acted like I was bothering them when I showed up for my scheduled appointment- which they kept sending me texts all the time since scheduling up to 30 minutes before appointment time. The car took 1 hour 45 minutes to change oil and rotate tires. I walked through the showroom to kill time and went out to look at vehicles - tho I know there aren’t many but I didn’t have one person acknowledge me the entire time I was looking. This dealership doesn’t act like they want my business anymore. I purchased the vehicle from them but I may not return I was not thanked by anyone through out the entire appointment Even the cashier was less than interested in my business. Guess all customer service has gone out the window and no one really cares anymore. It’s too bad. More

My initial call for “Premium Care Maintenance” scheduled every 7500 miles, was less than satisfactory. After showing up in person early for my appointment with the “official” document, they agreed to comple every 7500 miles, was less than satisfactory. After showing up in person early for my appointment with the “official” document, they agreed to complete 50% of the items listed. But the service reps were polite and helpful, although I felt that if I did not ask the specific question, I would not receive answere More
I went to a chain repair shop 2 times to get my air conditioner fixed. It was ridiculously expensive and did not last either time. When I took it back because it wasn’t working, they charged me more. I took my Escape to Charles Gabus Ford Service and they (Evan) fixed it for half the price and with a 2 year warranty! It’s not hot enough for me to really test it out but I’m relieved I have a warranty! It was a great experience! More
We bought a nice used vehicle in July, and have had to recently pay $4,000 to fix major problem s with the motor...in less than 6 months. This was a problem the vehicle already had. This is quite the story but needs to be told. I think the date was on or near Sept 10. My daughter just recently moved to Des Moines, we are from Illinois. Her 2016 Ford Escape would suddenly not shift the date was on or near Sept 10. My daughter just recently moved to Des Moines, we are from Illinois. Her 2016 Ford Escape would suddenly not shift in or out of gear. She found a latch under the gear flap that allowed her to get it parked. I called several places to inquire about where to get good honest, service. Being from out of state we settled on a place that another auto place recommended. They towed the car in and quickly stated that it was one part that needed replaced but would be over $1000!!! They told my daughter it was very hard to get to, would have to take all the seats out etc!!! I called them and told them to hold off on the car. Give me 10 to 15 minutes. I called my hometown dealership and the service man there said it sounded way too high for the part they said. I then called Charles Gabus service. They even let me speak to Ed.. He too agreed that the charge sounded very high. He suggested a tow truck if I wanted one. I called the facility where the Ford was at the time and told them a truck would be coming for the car in the afternoon. The Escape was fixed for around $300. Ed could not have been more considerate and nice. Gabus didn't even replace the part that the cheaters said needed fixed. We were saved from a horrible ordeal that would have possibly cost us more and more money. It was great to feel like we had someone honest and honorable to help us get the vehicle fixed. I hope others can read this and know where to take their vehicle for repair. More
Warranty Work? NOT In June of 2017 I purchased a new 5.4l motor for my F-150 and we went with Gabus due to the 3 yr (unlmited mile) warranty offered by Ford. Now there In June of 2017 I purchased a new 5.4l motor for my F-150 and we went with Gabus due to the 3 yr (unlmited mile) warranty offered by Ford. Now there is considerable work that needs to be done that falls under the warranty and the proposed bill just to further diagnose the problem is almost $2500 out of pocket. I talked with the mechanic who originally diagnosed the issues and was told that this should be an emphatic NO and the at the charges are "bogus". At this point I would highly recommend a good local mechanic over the Service Department at Charles Gabus Ford for sure! More
