Go somewhere else unless you want to be taken advantage of. I came in to LOOK at the 2011/12 Ford Flex Ecoboosts. Before I went in, I did a lot of research on the pricing, incentives and options available. More

It was unfortunate we were unable to make a deal with Mr. Ellison. He first contacted us on September 16, 2011. He was informed on pricing and it was just a matter of whether or not he wanted to come in and drive the vehicle and proceed with purchase. Zach was able to make it in on October 8, 2011. At this time Zach informed us he had a trade. While this was not brought up during the 3 plus weeks of communication, this didn’t present a problem as we trade for 100’s of vehicles a month. Zach described his vehicle as a (excellent shape with 85,000 miles, no accidents). This is where the story differs. Zach’s vehicle 1FTPW14554KD30705 did have an accident record per Autocheck and had major mechanical problems that Zach acknowledged in an email to us but claims it wasn’t his fault. While I don’t think the problems where caused by Zach the fact the vehicle had 5 owners and he has only owned the vehicle for just over a year it could have been caused by one of the 4 other previous owners. Mr. Ellison gives us a good rating with our friendliness and even says “gave me a great price on the Flex” the only problem is with a pickup which was no where near what he describes in his post. Zach also doesn’t mention in his post that he still has the pickup. My guess is because no one else gave him what he wanted either. We work very hard to try to make deals. It does us no good to intentionally or unintentionally upset people. That being said it seems like there were two different trades involved with this deal. The one Zach describes and the one we actually appraised. Jim Bintner

I’m sorry we were unable to agree on a price on the used Subaru that you felt comfortable with. You had a number you wanted to pay but unfortunately we could not accept your offer. At this point is when you met John and he tried to explain how he came up with the numbers you were given. We have been in business for 59 years and have done so by selling cars at a fair price. Again I’m sorry we couldn’t reach a number that was agreeable to both parties. Jim Bintner

Mr. King, First and foremost, thank you for your email. We strive to improve our customer service here at Gabus Ford Body Shop, and constructive feedback from our customers is a crucial component to that. I am sorry to hear about your recent experience with our repair facility. After reading your email, it is understandable why you feel the way you do. When we notified you the repairs were completed on your vehicle, we should have communicated to you at that time that the chrome claddings for your truck were on order and wouldn’t be in for two weeks. Furthermore, when we informed you that you were getting a brand new set of claddings, we should have also explained to you that we were only going to replace the one that Progressive Insurance paid to have replaced. However, since the claddings could only be purchased as a set, the remaining claddings were yours to do with as you please. Lastly, we should have notified you when those claddings came in so that you could come by at your convenience to have your repairs completed. In my opinion, our lack of communication played a big role in your disappointment with our facility. Additionally, I would like to apologize for the unplugged tail lamp and the inconvenience of getting pulled over for an inoperative rear light. While we go to great lengths for quality control in our shop, unfortunately we do have to account for human error. I appreciate you stopping by that Friday night, and I was happy that we could get it properly hooked up in a short time. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to make things right. In continuing with that, we would like to offer you a complimentary exterior detail buff and wax job for your vehicle. While this in no way makes up for our lack of communication and thorough quality control, we would like it to at least express our empathy for you and your experience. I hope you reconsider giving us another opportunity to serve you. Sincerely, Dick Tiernan Body Shop Manager Charles Gabus Ford --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
