$ 91.00 for an oil change? Seriously? Wow. That is a bit much. I have rated the dealership like this because I've been taking my car there for years and I always get greeted in a friendly and my car is always ready on a timely manner. Scott kept me informed my entire visit on what was being done with my car. He also apologized for the dent repairman showing up late. Quick. Efficient. Convenient. Respectful. Less than the estimate; I don't care if it was good salesmanship on Sammie's part or not, it made me SMILE! It's nice to be remembered when I arrive. Ray is a careful driver who didn't mind silence-aahhh! I was a problem child, needing an earlier than usual drop off in the morning and a "get me right now" pick up in the afternoon. It wasn't a problem. Everything was explained and I was on my way in under 5 minutes from the time the van arrived at the service center. Everything was stapled and the people were pleasant and I was gone. I have no idea if the work was done well -- I'm a blogger not a mechanic -- but the car runs fine. More

A couple of comments. First, the whole service area seemed, well a bit disorganized--maybe due to construction. Some reps overloaded causing a wait and others seemed not to be very busy at all. Bought a battery and had it installed---nothing was mentioned about the 20$ rebate (I found it myself on a stand by the parts counter) when I paid the bill or phoned re a quote. no coffee in pots by donuts (thanks for the donut though)till i asked and then I had to take the filled pot outside myself after it sat for 5 or 10 minutes after it was filled. Car wash guys sent home ???--weather--it was spitting at 9 a m but it was nice when I left the dealership at noon!!! Not the top quality I have seen in the past. Note: when I asked staff, were willing to help but I saw few signs of people being pro active. I am still weighing where I want to take my Jetta for service--you or Stutgart--although you do seem competitive on price. More

Would I recommend Chapman? It is too early to tell, as my first experiene there in September was not particulary positive. This last time out was positive, in that the price, diagnostic, service, and timing were fine. Sammy was courteous & professional, and sincere in her attempt to help me. The price I felt was commensurate with the labor, parts, etc. that one has to expect, especially in today's economy when money has become so tight, and one has to work so hard for it. Everybody, consumer, business, government, has to do his fair share to improve the economy. Why should the university where my daughter attends be able to raise its tuition six or seven percent a year -- especially in these times? It is not acceptable anymore. And it's the same for Chapman or any other important car dealership. You are entitled to make a fair profit to maintain your operations. But anything that smacks of unfairness has to be curtailed. I was also plesed that I was offered a %25.00 dollar discount for driving all the way from Sierra Vista on my day off. Above all, I arrived at 0755, and was seen almost immediately. The car was ready by one p.m., which was fine. I still need a couple of important repairs -- namely, the EVAP Cannister replaced; and, the airbag light is illuminated,a problem for some years now. So I would kindly await your estimate as to what it would cost to fix the cannister first. And then let's talk about it. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Vance Carver More
