(1) I would love to get coupons, like discount on oil changes and tune-ups. I don't like using Walmart for oil changes, and their service can't compare to yours for quality - but I need to save a buck o changes and tune-ups. (2) I REALLY think it is wrong to charge $100 for running diagnostics, especially when I authorize the needed work which results in a $500+ bill for me. The standard diagnostic charge should be less ($25 would be fair), and totally discounted from the repair bill if you do the work. More
I was and always have been a satisfied customer with Chapman VW Since my 2001 Beetle was purchased(new)there. I was very disappointed in the cost of my last bill there.I had heard another place would have done the same work there for approx 1/4 of what I paid. I understand charging for labor, but the parts were under $450.00 ,and labour brought it up past $1,000.00 Scott was the man I worked with and I can't praise him enough. He brought the bill down a little, and I so appreciate that.Even though it still seemed high, I was able to put it on my charge card. I am a recent widow with a daughter left at home to raise, and had no life insurance, so money is real tight for me. I will still continue to recommend your company to anyone who needs VW service, or are interested in purchasing a vehicle. Thank you & Merry Christmas! Patricia Dunn More
I am always treated good at Chapman VW in Tucson. I had no problems and my car was finished sooner than expected. I even got a coupon to have my car washed when I am in Tucson next time. Sammie continues to be the only service person that has not frustrated me with promises and/or not made sure all that I asked to be checked was checked. She keeps me adivsed. Explains what is going to happen and when done what was done. She always gives me an estimate of time and although sometimes it may take longer she always keeps me updated during the day. I will no longer come in for service if she is out. The last time I did I was misled by how much time the service person promised, she said 1 hour. I told her that if was only an hour I would wait otherwise I would get a courtsey ride to my work. She never checked in with me. After an hour she did not come in to update me and i could not find her. After two plus hours I found her and she said the car was getting washed and it would be just a little bit longer, that was another 20 minutes. She knew but apparently forgot i was in some what of a hurry to get out of there since I had said I would stay for an hour. She should have come in and asked me if I wanted the car washed before she added even more time on to my wait. If I had known it was going to take 3 hours i would have gone to work. I was NOT HAPPY. I'd rather have them be conservative and be done early then mislead me and then not come in and keep me adivised as to what was going on. More
I think the 40k service is extremely overpriced compared with other vehicles I have owned. The consultant was superb and the service was done speedily and allowed me to get home to my animals in time to me with other vehicles I have owned. I took my car for its 40,000 mile service and after the service found out the back windows were not working properly. Scott sent it back to the mechanics who found the fault and made the repair. They could not finish the job before 6pm and promised to have my car ready for pick up at noon the next day. Scott also made sure I got a rental at a very good rate. I went to pick up my car just before noon and it was ready with everything working like new again. Scott was very nice and friendly and I will definitely go back to Chapman's. More
The service was great, the price was reasonable for an oil change, but the time it took was a little longer than I expected. My only other complaint was the construction noise while in the waiting lounge oil change, but the time it took was a little longer than I expected. Overall the experience was great. I got there not knowing what to do with my car and right away I was led to the right person. Once I was there he was nice, friendly and honest. When my car was in the garage they found some extra errors and were quick to contact me about additional service for an extra fee. I was fine with that. The only thing I didn't like much was when they offered a new battery at a price that was too high. I went and bought a battery at a lower price and they gladly installed it at the original price. My car was running in no time. More
Scott MacNeil did a fantastic job. Cannot recommend enough! Scott let me know what to expect and when, called me when it was completed, and was there on pickup to answer any questions I may have had enough! Quoted me 3 months and $12,000 for repairs to a damaged wire harness, but it took them 9 months! When I got my car back, the seat was torn and the bumper was cracked and scratched. They lied and said the wire harness, but it took them 9 months! When I got my car back, the seat was torn and the bumper was cracked and scratched. They lied and said the car was like that when they got it. So glad I had pictures to prove otherwise. My suggestion, drive to Phoenix, it is worth it! More
