We came into the dealership looking for an advertised Dodge Grand Caravan, which we found out upon our arrival had already been sold. When I gave them our financial requirements, they worked with us to Dodge Grand Caravan, which we found out upon our arrival had already been sold. When I gave them our financial requirements, they worked with us to meet those needs and we drove out in a 2011 Grand Caravan. They were great to work with, very accommodating and overall we had a great experience. More

I waited almost 30 minutes while they looked for the vehicle. (I called 30 min before arrival to tell Don I was coming to pay for IN FULL and pick up the car.) -Contract stated car would be tinted before pick up. -Car was NOT tinted upon pick up five days after contracts were signed. -I was sent out of the lot with NO temp. plates and no temp. registration. Upon pulling out of the parking spot, my friend noticed there was no temp. plate in the window, so we had to go back in and ask for the reg. and temp. plate. -Don and Brad both excused themselves from any responsibility for all of the above. because they were both off for the weekend between contract signing and pick up. -Brad offered to pick up the car at my place of work the day after I picked it up (April 6) to bring it back to the dealership to get the tint done. -That day (April 6), I called Brad at 8 am to give him my work address, as we agreed. I gave it to him and told him the VIN was not etched on the glass according to the contract. He told me I probably just wasn't seeing it but it was there. I asked for a refund for the price of the VIN etching, since it wasn't done, and Brad told me it was non-negotiable and that he could not give me a refund. He told me if the VIN wasn't etched, they'd do it when they did the tint and I'd still have to pay for it. He also told me Don would call me back in 10 minutes. -Don called me back 3 hours and 45 minutes later. -When I told Don I did not have time to give him directions to my place of work and to ask Brad for the address, he said to me, "Are you going to make this difficult for me, or are you going to give me the address?" and when I asked to talk to Brad, Don hung up on me. -I called Brad immediately thereafter and was told that Don was still going to be the one to pick up my car, despite how I was treated by him, and that he "didn't know what else (I) expected him to do" and that there was "clearly no pleasing me" because I was "not happy about the tint and not happy about the VIN etching". I did not have any more time to devote to this conversation at that point because I was at work. -Don came and picked up the car over an hour later. He was unable to point out where the VIN etching was supposed to be, because he didn't know. -Don returned the car at 4:40 pm, tinted and etched. I received no printed information on how to care for the tint or clean the windows. -Don offered his hand and said, "Hey, sorry about this morning." (I do not accept this as a sufficient apology.) -As it turns out, temp. plates and registration Don gave me (after I went back in and asked) was for another person's car. Wrong name, address, and VIN number. I did not notice this until today, 12 days later, when I pulled the reg. out of the car to check the issue date. -Not that I will EVER return to this dealership, but I have yet to receive the promised voucher for $10 lifetime oil changes. I would rather pay $30 at another location than return to Chapman Scottsdale AutoPlex for ANY reason. Can you give me a reason to NOT rate this dealership experience anything other than "VERY BAD"? Brought vehicle in for warranty repair on diesel engine. The shop was unable to find the diesel leak, which was creating an odor of diesel fuel around the front of the vehicle. No warranty repairs were done The shop was unable to find the diesel leak, which was creating an odor of diesel fuel around the front of the vehicle. No warranty repairs were done as they were unable to diagnose the problem. Ironically, the technician/service writer recorded numerous service work recommendations that were not needed and would not be covered by the warranty. The Chapman dealership's service writer and technician were looking to inflate the service bill with unnecessary repairs. Unfortunately, my diesel fuel problem still exist. I plan to find another Dealer who work to competently handle the needed repair. More
Went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation at 7am and didnt leave until 9am. Very long process to get a simple service done. Its going to be really difficult for me to justify spending 2 hours waitin and didnt leave until 9am. Very long process to get a simple service done. Its going to be really difficult for me to justify spending 2 hours waiting for an oil change when i can get it done elsewhere in 30 minutes or less. For a business person, 2 hours are very valuable and to not have loaner cars makes it difficult. I will be doing my routine service calls somewhere else in teh future if that doesnt change More

I bought a used car from Chapman so I wouldn’t get a bad car from the mom and pop dealers. During test drive, I noticed the A/C was not very good, but was told it was fine. The next day after purchased it d car from the mom and pop dealers. During test drive, I noticed the A/C was not very good, but was told it was fine. The next day after purchased it did not work. I was also told the SUV was ‘detailed’, opening the back not only was there dog hair, but dust and dirt EVERYWHERE. I brought it back to fix A/C and wash. There is also a drywall screw holding the door handle on, and I was told not Chapmans responsibility and if they removed it the entire door panel would fall off. Thanks! When I picked it up, it had been wiped down and the A/c worked on the ride home. Next day A/C did not work. Had to bring it in a 3rd time and it is now fixed. I had to have it detailed myself. Was this SUV even inspected? What else is going to go wrong? More
Ok so a year a go we went into this place to look at a used car - so that you know there is a VW, Dodge, Jeep and Hyundai dealership. We saw a Hyundai Sonata - used and wanted to check it out. Some how th used car - so that you know there is a VW, Dodge, Jeep and Hyundai dealership. We saw a Hyundai Sonata - used and wanted to check it out. Some how they could not put the deal together - we wanted to go in with $1k down - payments of $475 or less - now why can't you do that on a used car....well talk to a buddy in the banking biz and he informs me that if the lender is asking for a down payment of $3k on a car that is only $9995 then the car is only worth $6995 and that is all the bank will finance the $3k is their profit. Any way we are waved off to dinner as they will look for a new car tthat has a rebate and see what they can come up with. We return and they have a Jeep Liberty - now it is 9p at that point I am rushed of to drive it for 15 minutes while Demetrio does paper work and then we wait and wait and wait - I think it was like 12midnight when we finally got out of there - keep in mind I had the whole time said walk away this feels shadey....but he wanted to get this done so done it was - but not at a payment of $475 - no that had edged up to $510.00. Fast forward to present day - we break up - yes we did the stupid thing and the car was in both of our names we were getting married....so who knew. He wants out of the car and I am looking to get into a more fuel economical car so back I go. Now it is 1 year later and the car went from being 25k to now barely worth 14k so I am 9k under water on a car. I went in and looked at a 14k 2007 VW convertible Beetle. They tell me oh they can not put me in that car but with $500.00 down they can get me in a 2010 - ok - put the deal together and let me know what the payment is...that was Tuesday 3 days no information and I call - Friday I am told come in bring your check - your pay stubs it is a go!! I arrive 15 minutes later to get the cold shoulder - we didn't know you were coming in - huh? You just told me to come in?? 45 minutes later - they can not do the deal and they are shoving me off on the Chrsyler dealer - did I say I wanted a Chrysler?? Luckily they do have a convertible on the lot so I drive it - and one other car - finally deciding on Saturday to go with the Sebring convertible, sign all papers and end up giving a $750..00 deposit...yea not sure where that came in but that was what had to bring in. Leave the dealership - a week later no pay off on my jeep so I call - they screwed up the papers and I have to come sign again so I do - I call monday still no pay off and we are now late on our payment. On 2/23 I lost my job and the same time the check for the deposit posts - so I think it is a done deal. I have several job offers so I am ok the first payment isnt for 45 days so I am good. Another week passes and I get another call from Allied Bank I let them know I have lost my job but have offers - within 2 hours I get a call from the dealer who says the loan has to be reworked - I let him know that no one will approve this and he tells me he will call me back in 15 minutes. No call in 3 hours I call him and he tells me they will call me first thing in the morning. At noon after no call I call - it gets pushed to voicemail - I call 3 more times and each call is pushed to voice mail so at 5p I write emails to both of the sales people and I leave a message on the finance guys work number - he had told me not to call the number but rather to call his cell. Thursday rolls around and I leave 3 messages for the GM I finally get a call back and he leaves a message stating that he could not hear the one message - what ?? I left you 3 messages and I called and left details with your secretary on why I was calling so for him to call and say he did not know why I was calling was a joke. I am seriously frustrated at this point - when at 4p I get a call from the Director of Finance - who tells me he needs a copy of the check that cleared my account back on 2/22 or he will not give me the $750.00. I go to pick up my car and find 1000 miles has been added to the mileage, there are huge dings in the side, the remote start and upgraded alarm have been ripped out of my car. I am told they will fix this and will call me later and state that with my offer letter they can make this work but it will not be until after I am at my new job. Can I get them the offer letter so I said yes - knowing this is bologna - and I am told that they will call me on Friday - today to get the remote start, my extra key and alarm repaired. No call - surprise....in short avoid this dealer like they have the plague because both of my experiences were horrific and I believe I will have get a lawyer to get my car reinstated to the prior state.
