Turns out the part was not going to be repaired that that day and Dave gave me my quote (a little higher than what I hoped, but not outrageously so.) Dave called be at the estimated time and let me know the new estimated time as the parts arrived late. He then called me as my car was, "Coming out of the wash" as he put it.
