Salesmen & Managers consider themselves better than you! I wish I could say nice things, but no. I really wanted to buy a vehicle, but the salesman wanted to waste time for no reason other than insult my in I wish I could say nice things, but no. I really wanted to buy a vehicle, but the salesman wanted to waste time for no reason other than insult my intelligence. While in the phone prior to me setting foot on the lot we agreed on a set price on a Dodge Journey SXT V6 with Power and Connectivity packages for 19.8. Then when I arrive the price suddenly jumps 2 grand higher. Then he went on and on about how he had no control of the price, then I said why am I talking to you. Then he starts talking about the MSRP and how that makes a difference. It doesn't by the way. So to stop him, I gave my analogy of my widget company. The widget company sells me a widget for 5 cents and says the MSRP is 1 dollar. Customer walks in and says that's too expensive, so I say don't worry you qualify for thec wearing blue pants rebate for 25 cents. He then says sold and buys my widget for 75 cents. I then make a profit of 70 cents. This analogy seemed to confuse him and he went right back to why we couldn't go back the original agreed upon price. I said I'm going, he said we can still work on it. I replied are we going have a deal at 19.8? He said he stayed late for his kids. I have kids, what does that have anything to do with anything? Then I got in my truck to leave, he went into the building and started laughing with the sales manager. If he didn't do that I wouldn't be writing this. He could've waited ten minutes until I left to make fun of me. He lost the sale over 450 dollars and they lost a family of customers because they were obtuse and demeaning. Epilogue, I found a better price with Autonation in Phoenix by 2 thousand. More
