Felt very disrespected We're from Tucson and drove up to Phoenix to look at used trucks since the selection is so much better. One of the trucks was at Chapman Chevy. A 2006 We're from Tucson and drove up to Phoenix to look at used trucks since the selection is so much better. One of the trucks was at Chapman Chevy. A 2006 Ford F250 diesel 4x4. Alex greeted us and was helpful. We went for a test drive and really liked the truck. I told Alex I already had pre-approved financing thru my credit union ( a preferred partner) that would cover the full cost of the truck. We went inside to work out the details. Alex went to get the numbers and came back with prices with cash down. I told him again I had financing and it would cover the whole price, and asked him to give me the out the door price. They were asking 17,495 for the truck, which was a very fair price per KBB. Alex came back and showed me an out the door price of $21,500. Just over $4000 more then the asking price. I can understand tax, title and license, those are expected when buying from a dealer. When I questioned about all the extra costs, Alex was a bit unsure (new salesman I believe). He went and got the sales manager, explained all the extra costs, like $1400 for "accessories" (costs associated with detailing, servicing and prepping the truck, no actual parts), $350 for VTP (vehicle theft protection) explained as Chapman basically passing on their insurance costs to the customer, $375 document processing (again a dealer cost I understand but still very high to type up some papers and send off to DMV). And a couple hundred dollars in other misc fees and costs. While all this is going on, the sales manager talked me into seeing if he could find better financing options (I don't blame him, I had no issue trying to find a better deal) but all the while I told him my credit union already approved me. Also while all this is going on, other customers are coming in interested in the truck and taking test drives. I know I didn't have any kind of hold on the truck, but still kind of bugged me. So by this time we've been dealing this for about 1 1/2 hour. Alex and the sales manager finally come over and tell us they couldn't find a better financing deal, and know they can't get hold of my credit union because it's 5:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. All the while I'm watching the sales manager dealing with the salesmen who are working the other interested parties. So they tell us, we'll let you know if we get hold of them and you guys can pretty much go now. I feel we were pretty much dropped because I wouldn't drop any cash on a down payment. I felt very disrespected and treated like a second class citizen. I actually kind of felt sorry for Alex, who worked with us for 2 hours just to have someone take his commission out from under him. We didn't get a call from anyone there in regards to any contact with my credit union or that the truck had been sold. This is the kind of treatment I would expect from some little crappy corner used car lot, not one of the largest dealers in Arizona. I would never recommend any Chapman franchise to any of my friends and will go out of my way to spread the word of my disappointment with Chapman More

From the entitle contact with my Salesman (Roberto Aguilera), and throughout the entire process, I was treated with excellent customer service and professionalism. While selecting and test driving my new truck, Roberto was very knowledgeable with his new truck inventory, and he really helped me in the decisions making process. When it was time to sit down a work out a deal, Roberto's Manager, (Robert Revere), was very respectful and patient with me, and was able to work out the deal that got me into my awesome new 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. And for that, I am deeply grateful!!! Thank you so much Chapman Chevrolet!!! More

poor warranty support I made an appointment for warranty work on july 1st. this work included both passenger and driver side door window motor defects, the AC unit blowing I made an appointment for warranty work on july 1st. this work included both passenger and driver side door window motor defects, the AC unit blowing hot, and after changing 4 badly worn tires, an alignment was necessary. when I called midday Saturday, no one had even looked at it yet. the following Friday july 8th, I was told the door window parts were on order. now in the phoenix metro area with all its GM dealerships, how can one NOT have spare parts? as far as the alignment, and I even saved one worn tire to prove my case, that I learned is a "preventive maintenance issue" not a warranty issue. now for the AC unit, I was told there no leaks found and they simply recharged the system. WHAT? where did they think the Freon went? so after 10 days, with no offer of a loaner, constant phone tag, and what I felt as very poor customer service. I settled to get my car back. so after purchasing 4 vehicles there, chapman sales dep't can thank brett, douglas and chad, and their service dep't for the loss of any more repairs or sales to me!!!!!!!!!!! Return customer When in the search for another car we returned to Chapman due to having such a great experience the first time. We had a budget that we needed to stay When in the search for another car we returned to Chapman due to having such a great experience the first time. We had a budget that we needed to stay at, this team really worked with us to assist us with what we wanted and what we could afford. Joe took a lot of time to explain and go over everything the Malibu had to offer and all the safety features it had and after driving it we absolutely fell in LOVE with this car. Joe is very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable throughout this experience, I will always refer people to go see him. Andy was also amazing throughout this process he made sure we were very well taken care of. These two worked hard to get us an amazing deal I know we would have never gotten anywhere else. More
Integrity Issues Sadly, this dealership has serious integrity issues, and I will not return. I found an online ad from Chapman Chevrolet for a Buick Enclave that th Sadly, this dealership has serious integrity issues, and I will not return. I found an online ad from Chapman Chevrolet for a Buick Enclave that they had on special. It was a good price for a fairly new used car with low mileage. What really bothered me is that I specifically asked the Sales Consultant (Prince) by text message prior to my purchase of a plane ticket (I live in Los Angeles, the dealer is in Phoenix), and my arrival from out-of-state, if the car had a "smoke smell" as I have two small kids and this would be our family car. He wrote: "There's not a smoke smell in the Buick" in return text. However, late upon arrival, the car definitely had a heavy smell from cleaning agents and other odors. Subsequently, I learned that it did in fact belong to a heavy smoker, and stunk, which apparently was why it was on special. The dealer obviously tried to mask the odor (in fact, I was not allowed to see the car for about two hours after my arrival as it was in the shop being detailed, or should I say, heavily odor masked), but I still ultimately purchased the car. After the fact, I realized I was intentionally misled. I drove it back home that day, approximately 400 miles with all the windows open, to no avail. I have since detailed the car, used ozone, and used odor-absorbing materials with only limited success. More than a month later, the car still smells. Some deal, huh? So, the next day after buying the car, I went to my local Buick dealership to buy some touch-up paint. I asked for the White Diamond Tricoat (WDT) color as I believed it was the car's color. To my surprise, I was told that my car was the standard white paint, not the $995 optional upgrade to White Diamond Tricoat. However, the car, as advertised on the Chapman (dealer's) website, on numerous online car sales sites, and on the sales window sticker, all said it had the upgraded WDT paint. I bought the car based on the representations of this dealer as to the options, as set forth in the public advertising and on the car's sales documents. Upon this discovery, I called the dealer and spoke with the Sales Manager (Salman). When I expressed my concern, knowing I was back in Los Angeles, he abruptly told me to just "bring it back." As this was clearly not an option, I asked to resolve it in another way. He was not amenable to a slight refund, but ultimately I asked for an accommodation, in particular accessories for the car. I asked for splash guards (front & rear) and illuminated door sills (which all together retail for about $550 - dealer cost likely $380). He said no to the door sills, but ultimately agreed to just send the splash guards (dealer cost likely $120), but would also sell me the lighted door sills at his "dealer cost." I was charged $290.00 for the sills (before tax), but just came to find out that the dealer cost was actually $262.50. Another lie. Also, they forgot to put a temporary license plate on the car after my five (5) hours there - they had to fax a copy to me. Further, I had to get, complete, fax, and send them additional forms weeks later that they neglected to take care of while I was there. However, on the other hand, the finance guy Wayne was nice and professional. Also, I do appreciate that they sent the splash guards for free (thus 1.5 stars), but it took them a month to do so, after what I felt was my continued, forced attempts at maintaining communication on this issue. I am not happy with my experiences at this dealership, I find their integrity and honesty lacking, and therefore I cannot recommend them. More
