We are sure you have found that shopping out of state can be different than shopping at your local dealer. We have also found that different states have different business models and the one we presented to you is very common here in Arizona. The competition has gotten so fierce that we do have to charge fees etc. and our clients tend to understand the business model we present. As far as the vehicle being sold ahead of you; well, that we cannot control. It seems that the salesperson tried to reach out to you many times without an answer of if you wanted to complete the transaction or not and in the meantime, another client agreed to purchase the car. The dealership wasted my time while selling the car for a few more dollars instead of giving me an opportunity to respond to the quote. Of course, once the dealership and management recognized that the vehicle was undervalued for the current market, immediately with the first opportunity the new selling price was placed for a bid at several thousand dollars higher. Frankly, very disappointed with their business practices and commitment. Sometimes sincerity and loyalty can reach longer than the monetary remuneration. I drive an x7 and a 530e currently. Today, with the addition of the 2 series I feel very comfortable that the latter has been a better decision than the showing 330i offered at Chapman dealership for just under $30,000 now selling for over $34,000.. As a physician I was expecting more respect and consideration, but now I understand that healthcare is a different stratosphere in service and devotion. Orlando Deffer, MD,

Stuart, I’m sorry this happened to you-especially being a repeat customer. I feel I owe you an explanation of how we price our vehicles. As an organization, the Chapman Group has gone to a new system in the way we sell Used vehicles. We use a proprietary algorithm on how we price all of our vehicles. It uses up to the minute market data from 500 miles around to price the vehicle as competitive as possible. The other thing is this algorithm does not take into account our acquisition price. So its prices according to the market, not from cost up. We feel this is very powerful as we are armed with market data that substantiates our price and leads to a much better customer experience-unfortunately that also means we don’t have much room to discount our aggressive price. This same practice holds true for our trade-in values. We use current market conditions (that change daily) to appraise inventory-so just as our vehicle adjusted I can only assume yours did as well. I know this vehicle has since sold, but I would be happy to help you in any way that I can in the future personally. Shane, Your web site still show the vehicle being available for sale. It's stick number 71617. If you had read my review carefully, I was willing to pay the price your dealer listed for and accept the trade in offer that was provided. What I objected to was the window tinting charge of $499 that was already done when the vehicle was sold new. Why was it being charged again as a used vehicle when your dealership already collected that extra charge when it was sold new from your dealership. The $499 is not much when I am accepting to pay the asking price of $95944. It has now been reduced by another $500. It was the principle of trying to double charge for something inconsequential and your sales person telling me to take it or leave it because that is how your dealership does business.
