Service dept nightmare Brought my Explorer in last month for warranty work. I had two items for them to look at and they ended up looking at the whole car. A good thing rig Brought my Explorer in last month for warranty work. I had two items for them to look at and they ended up looking at the whole car. A good thing right? Not. The two items then led to three and then four and finally they had a laundry list of stuff. The service dept decided to try and see if the warranty company will pay for all these repairs which they didn't. Long story short my transmission was one of the items and was originally quote $79 to diagnose. A day or two later that changed to $1200. Then while changing a bearing they broke my control arm and wanted me to pay for it. Mind you the bearing was replaced a year ago, why it needed it again I'm not sure. The service dept manager was an absolute nightmare to deal with. Very unprofessional on the phone. I will never deal with them again. She claimed the control arm was badly rusted and that's why the aluminum arm broke. Wouldn't you think it should of broke from hitting pot holes here im Erie if it was that bad? After all this I got a second opinion on their diagnosis and what they originally said was wrong was not which makes me believe they work on commission in there. On top of the second opinion I also have my inspection license and only took the vehicle for the two items that I knew was covered under the warranty which got fixed. Not only will I never go back nor will I recommend them to anyone. More
UP Sell everytime Brought my 2 year old F150 in for "Works" - tire rotation, oil change, brake check - after the service, was told my front brakes needed to be complete Brought my 2 year old F150 in for "Works" - tire rotation, oil change, brake check - after the service, was told my front brakes needed to be completely replaced due to excessive heat wear. Brake pads, rotors all needed replaced for the price of $491.00 Due to previous experiences, I sought after another professional opinion and after they inspected everything, was informed that nothing needed replaced at this time. Brakes had approximately half of their pads left as did rotors. Brake Check = $15 More

Lack of communication followed by INFLATED service quotes Took Ford Taurus X 2008 in for inspection; all lights were working at time of delivery to shop. Was told next day that rear light needed to be complet Took Ford Taurus X 2008 in for inspection; all lights were working at time of delivery to shop. Was told next day that rear light needed to be completely replaced as it was corroded. I explained that I don't care if it's corroded, I had just followed my car to the shop in another vehicle and ALL lights worked. After delay of several hours for the issue to be reviewed, I received a call back that the "marker light" wasn't working...funny, no one mentioned that during the initial call. $350 later, I have an inspected car....however, they also suggested a replacement for the PTU seal in the transmission to the tune of $500 + dollars.....told them I would have to think about it as I was not real comfortable with their honesty at this point in time. Decided next day to have the service done, they couldn't schedule it until 3 weeks in future!! So, we went to another Ford dealership for service....and they are doing the job for $288.....DO NOT have your car serviced at CHAMPION Ford in Erie unless you have money to burn! More

Our salesman, Lennon, bent over backwards to make our deal. He listened to our concerns and did his best to address each and every one. He did everything he promised he would do regarding the sale, the deal. He listened to our concerns and did his best to address each and every one. He did everything he promised he would do regarding the sale, the transfer and the pick up of our new vehicle. The entire transaction was seamless and relatively painless ( or as painless as purchasing a new car can be). More

Mike looked it over, and said it might be a good deal, but was concerned why they wouldn't put new inspection stickers on it. The sales guy said I could take it to my mechanic Monday (today) to have it checked out. Just got back.....it needs $1,000.00 worth of work to make it reliable. I told the sales guy that, showed the paper list of everything and said if you drop the price by that much I'll buy it. He asked his manager, and I was refused. They KNOW it's a piece of xxxx and they are willing to let some poor sucker buy it anyways...... More
We have dealt exclusively with another dealership for the past twenty years and purchased our last six vehicles there. We decided to check out Champion Ford and are very glad we did. Lennon was great to work past twenty years and purchased our last six vehicles there. We decided to check out Champion Ford and are very glad we did. Lennon was great to work with and we got the vehicle we wanted for a fair price. We would recommend Champion and Lennon to anyone looking for a good, affordable unit. Thanks, Lennon! More
My wife and I found a pre-owned Volvo which our family has wanted for many years. The price was right. My wife and I had put money down on the vehicle at this dealership for the price on the sticker with has wanted for many years. The price was right. My wife and I had put money down on the vehicle at this dealership for the price on the sticker with the understanding that it was sold without warranty and 'as is'. We called the sales rep from the dealership the next morning to tell them that we would be up to purchase the vehicle at which time he informed us they decided to make the repairs to the vehicle. This was contrary to the dealerships prior language when they told us they wouldn't do the work. The dealership upped the price an additional $1800 and refused to honor the original price or even work with us with the price. And they did this work without asking us. Our family has owned businesses in western PA for over a decade and we would have NEVER agreed to price with a customer who also put money down on a product and then add more to the specific inventory, drastically increase price, and refuse to honor the primary cost. WE DO NOT HOLD THE SALES REP RESPONSIBLE AS IT WAS THE MANAGER WHO ISSUED THE UPDATED/ UNDERHANDED "NEW' POLICY. We wish the sales rep best of luck and hope that Champion dealership reconsiders techniques such as this. (We have taken our business elsewhere) More
