The service department is friendly and professional but after two years with the same defect issue that is unresolved it is hard to stay positive. I have yet to receive any positive solutions or assistance from GM as well. I have made over a dozen trips to the dealership and called GM numerous times. Apparently the standard line is the vehicle needs to be diagnosed before we can go to the next step. So for two years this has been the repetitive action plan. 1. Call GM for help, told to take take to dealership for diagnosis. 2. Take vehicle to dealership for diagnosis. Dealership orders parts and/or seeks guidance on repair issue. 3. Take vehicle back for repair. "REPAIR FAILS/IS UNSUCCESSFUL" 4. Repeat-Repeat-Repeat More

When I ordered the Tahoe it was Courtesy. Champion had not bought Courtesy yet. I shopped Champion in Johnson City, but they wanted list price plus a $799 doc fee. If I had to pay that I would not have bought a Tahoe. When I took delivery Champion was the new owner. I did not need a vehicle, but if I had needed one, although I am a Chevy man, I would have gotten a Jeep, Ford or something else. Craig Hite is a good man and manager. I hope you keep him. John King never had a good service department at any dealership be it Ford or Chevrolet. I hope that improves. He let two good service managers go at Courtesy. I hate getting my oil changed at any dealership because they start rookies out on oil changes and they over or under tighten oil drain plugs. When tires are rotated, everyone used an impact and beats the chrome cover off the lug nuts over time. My son who lives in Salem, VA could not even change a flat where the lug nuts had been rounded off with an impact. They should be loosened with a socket and power handle and tightened with a torque wrench. It is ok to spin them on with an impact once they have been started by hand to prevent cross threading. More
