Thursday afternoon--> I called Century to inquire about a CPO Mini. They made a VIP appointment for Saturday and did not require a deposit. Friday afternoon--> Centruy MINI called me to confirm th about a CPO Mini. They made a VIP appointment for Saturday and did not require a deposit. Friday afternoon--> Centruy MINI called me to confirm the appointment (i.e., they had MY number). Saturday afternoon--> Show up 30 minutes earlier than my scheduled VIP appointment, only to be informed (after driving 2 hours) that the MINI for which I had an appointment to see had been sold Saturday morning. No call was made to me nor was I "on the schedule," even though the VIP manager knew all my information. Very disappointed with their professionalism and integrity!! (BTW- both professionalism and integrity are part of the mission statement for Sonic Automotive group, which Century is a part of) More

They do everything half-way with results with me going back in over and over. Not to mention that they charge for everything little thing, and not a reasonable charge, but double, sometimes triple what it should cost. It also takes them an exceptionaly long time to fix anything. The only good thing that they have done is provide a loaner car whenever I ask, but much of the time I have to pester them to get the car. Honestly, if your Mini needs service try and find anyone else because they are just going to milk you for every penny you have. More
I purchased a mini from century just about a year ago and the purchase process was excellent. very nice informative staff and an overall willingness to take the time to explain everything. However, the se the purchase process was excellent. very nice informative staff and an overall willingness to take the time to explain everything. However, the service department leaves a little to be desired. when i returned with my car for its scheduled check up via the maintenance program i was bombarded with fees and costs and expenses. all this jazz about a worry free maintenance plan when i bought the car and when i took it in for a check up i see all sorts of charges. apparently they charge for everything accept a quick once-over of the car and basic engine oil. to top it off they wanted $60.00 to rotate the tires, 30 maybe, but 60 is way out of line. all in all its a good dealership and i would recommend them for new sales but beware of the limitations of both their service department and the mini maintenance plan. It takes a clear and compelling reason to drive 4 hours to purchase a car. I found it at Century Mini. Javier and Stan did a wonderful job. The entire experience exceeded all expectations. It appears that Mini tries very hard not to negotiate price. The exact car we wanted wasn't on the lot but one that was pretty close was available. They probably would have sold us that car off the lot i price. The exact car we wanted wasn't on the lot but one that was pretty close was available. They probably would have sold us that car off the lot if they had tried or exhibited any willingness to negotiate. Any other dealer I have every been to would probably have recognized a cash sale could have been had that day. Instead they seemed to prefer we order one. They lost the sale when we bought a car a few days later from another manufacturer and dealership. More
I SCHEDULED SERVICE APPOINTMENT BEFORE 50,000 MILE WARRANTY WAS UP. THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS WHICH NEEDED TO BE FIXED. VISOR, SILVER STRIP IN DOOR, OIL LEAK, PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT WAS COMING ON A WARRANTY WAS UP. THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS WHICH NEEDED TO BE FIXED. VISOR, SILVER STRIP IN DOOR, OIL LEAK, PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT WAS COMING ON AND OFF, ETC. I TOLD THE SERVICE DEPT I WANTED THEM TO THOROUGHLY CHECK EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE ANYTHING THAT WAS WRONG WAS FIXED BEFORE THE WARRANTY WAS UP. I WAS TOLD THEY KEPT THE VISOR PART ON HAND AT ALL TIMES BUT WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN TO BE FIXED THEY DID NOT HAVE THE VISOR PART AND IT HAD TO BE ORDERED WHICH TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS. ALSO, WHEN I PICKED THE CAR UP THE FIRST TIME THE PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT STARTED FLASHING ON AND OFF AGAIN AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS SO THEY HAD NOT FIXED THAT EITHER. I TOOK THE CAR BACK IN WHEN THE VISOR PART CAME IN AND THOUGHT THEY WOULD FIX THAT AND THE SENSOR PROBLEM. THEY NOW TELL ME IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE NEW SENSOR WHICH WILL COST AROUND $900. I LIVE IN ASHEVILLE AND AM NOT ABLE TO GET TO GREENVILLE DURING THE WEEK EXCEPT FOR VACATION DUE TO MY WORK HOURS. CENTURY MINI WAS NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH ME TO FIX THE SENSOR PROBLEM ON SATURDAY. THEY SAID THAT WAS A PROBLEM THAT HAD TO BE FIXED DURING THE WEEK. I WORK LONG HOURS AND TAKE CARE OF A 95 YEAR OLD MOTHER. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY BY ANY OTHER CAR DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. I FEEL THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. EVERY TIME I DID GO TO THE DEALERSHIP I DEALT WITH SOMEONE NEW IN THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. IF THEY TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS THAT IS PROBABLY WHY THEY HAVE HAD SO MUCH TURNOVER. More
