My first Ford F150 in my single years to most recently the Chevy Tahoe (Yep, the small family hauler). It came time to let the Tahoe go. It’s just my wife and our needs have changed. We’re not in need of the utilitarian vehicles of our past years. The lord has blessed us over the years and our wherewithal is in a better place. Now my eyes have always been drawn to BMWs. They’re always stylish, sleek, and have a sporty edge no matter the age. I admire the enduring design and quality they maintain with age. I wish I could! So, my lovely wife and I discussed replacement of our Tahoe affectionately known as the “Grey Ghost”. We decided it was time relax the frugal reigns and select a BMW. I chose the 2022 X5 s40i. A no brainer for me. I love rear wheel drive. I live in the South so snow is never an issue but a reason to stay home. The X5 was the best fit following the Tahoe as we “downsize” our life. I have all I need for space and function in a superior platform with technology, comfort and style far exceeding a Chevy! I’m nerdy. I started with blogs and reviews. You can find pros and cons to fit anything on the internet. What was a key driving force were BMW Owners. Loyal, dedicated and straight up about their Bimmers. I found resources to help with BMW issues from the mundane “floor mats” to adding aftermarket Tunes. I spent hours poring over the BMW Website selecting the features I wanted and designed my ride. I had it all dialed in and the money piece worked out. Now all I had to do was pull the trigger and order a my X5. I hopped in my Tahoe and went to Century BMW. Unlike the latest car adds on TV I was not assaulted, hog tied and beaten when I arrived. I met Josh! We introduced ourselves and I explained what I wanted to do. That’s it. I did not get pushed pulled or dragged around to “see” anything. Josh was amazing. I looked around and asked to crawl through one of the X5’s in the showroom to see firsthand the look and feel. No problem. I crawled around the showroom car like a monkey on a football. Stopped asked a few questions about textures, paint colors and was offered options to see the samples in their design area or go to a specific car on the lot with the color or texture to see in person. Not once did I ever feel, or experience being “directed” by Josh. What a day! I decided on everything I wanted Josh answered everything. I left with only one item to clarify with my wife. The next day I provided him my build code (from the website) and a deposit. My 2022 BMW X5 s40i was ordered. I tracked its inception to delivery back at Century BMW! Through the BMW website I knew when it arrived and picked it up the very next day (Sept). I can’t stop smiling. I can write so much more but I really-really-really want to go for a ride right now!!!! We recently purchased a 2021 530i Xdrive. This is our second purchase from Century and the experience is always good. No pressure selling and very competitive pricing. We have worked with Baynes Norton twice and not only is he a nice guy, he knows the process and automobiles inside and out. We trust him. I recently purchased a 2021 M2 competition from Century BMW in Greenville. It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. The M2 competition stopped production in June 2021 so I was trying to fin BMW in Greenville. It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. The M2 competition stopped production in June 2021 so I was trying to find one of the last allocations in May. Century did not have another allocation for an M2 but Kristi Raines and Ian Long found me one at another dealership and traded for the allocation. Some dealerships around the country are charging above MSRP for the M2 comp, but Ian and Kristi still gave me a great deal! Kristi also kept regular communication with me while the car was being built. I was so excited when my M2 competition showed up at the dealership earlier this week after my 2 ½ month wait. When I picked up the car, Juawan Etheredge was quick getting all the paperwork processed and answering all my questions about the car. With this kind of service, I will be back for maintenance and when I am ready to order my next BMW. More
I would generally give this dealership high marks except that I don't believe I was charged a competitive price. I've been owning BMWs for 20 years, and every one of them was offered at 8-9% off MSRP, witho that I don't believe I was charged a competitive price. I've been owning BMWs for 20 years, and every one of them was offered at 8-9% off MSRP, without a lot of haggling, except for this one. At the last minute in the transaction I learned that several discounts had been withdrawn a day or two earlier, so I had to pay 3-4% more than anticipated. I trusted the sales department to look out for me in this negotiation, and was surprised and disappointed that he did not. I would caution anyone buying a car at Century to lock down the price early in the process to avoid any last minute surprises. More

1st Class dealership with a excellent sales staff, went there on a Saturday to pick up my new X1. It took a while longer to complete the transaction because I wanted to replace the run-crap tires with regu there on a Saturday to pick up my new X1. The service department is an absolute scam. I was quoted a price of $1027 for a repair. I was sent this quote twice, an hour and a half apart. There was $13000 worth of nonsense on my quote, so I only agree a price of $1027 for a repair. I was sent this quote twice, an hour and a half apart. There was $13000 worth of nonsense on my quote, so I only agreed, and signed off, to the one repair I needed, which was the one for $1027. Three days later, they contact me and say "someone made a mistake", and the repair I needed is now $2900.... the only repair I agreed to is suddenly the ONLY thing on the entire quote that had a mistake??? Sure. Somehow, I am now obligated to pay for the mistake THAT THEY MADE. I told them I would pay for the quote I agreed upon, and they told me they would not fix my car, after THEY SENT ME THE QUOTE... TWICE. Some rude person contacted me and argued that I have to pay for their mistake. I told him I would pay what I was quoted, and he said they wouldn't do it for free.... "You're not, you're doing it for what I was quoted." He refused to fix my car, told me to come get it, and then hung up on me.... like a child. I would not recommend anyone use this service department unless you are prepared to get ripped off. More
