Saying this, I have dealt with MANY dealerships over the years. This past Saturday was a great experience. Two vehicles, two dealerships. Vehicles were neck and neck in my eyes as well as in published material. Both fine vehicles. The difference? The DEALER. Ree and Kevin both treated me in a manner that they would want to be treated. After direct, back to back comparisons of vehicles...Ree and Kevin were the reason for my choice of a 2017 BMW. More

I usually hate going to dealerships because of the pressure, but there was absolutely no pressure from her. We test drove as many cars as I wanted. This really allowed me to narrow down my choices. We spent roughly 4 hours test driving cars, only for me to circle back around to the first car I test drove, but she really wanted me to be sure of my selection. This was probably my easiest and best car buying experience. More
The good and the bad First, I want to say that I have no problem with the service people at Century. Cornealius was exceedingly friendly, upbeat, and accommodating - he e First, I want to say that I have no problem with the service people at Century. Cornealius was exceedingly friendly, upbeat, and accommodating - he even gave me a ride home when my car had to stay overnight at the dealership. Chris in the parts department quickly matched my price on the parts I needed when I found them cheaper online, and I was able to use a couple of coupons to bring down the price of my repair. Mike and Luke have also been very helpful on previous visits. However... the parts needed to replace my back light assembly were over $100 cheaper online than as offered at the dealership. Chris matched the price, but the parts were not in stock and needed to be ordered. It took several days for the parts to come in; I only have one car, so leaving it that long was not an option. I had to depend on shuttle rides, since Century only gives loaners to those who purchased their cars at the dealership. Why not partner with a rental company as some other dealerships do? After leaving it overnight for them to test the brakes, my car was given back to me (not washed or vacuumed) with a 30 mile range of gas, not even enough to take me home (Harvest). The diagnostic service to determine any problem costs $125, whether you fix the problem or not; in many places, you're not charged for a live mechanic to assess the issue, or the cost of the assessment is turned back in to the cost of the repair, if you choose to use that service department. Not so at Century. Also, for minor issues (creaks and squeaks, interior issues) I'm usually told it would be cheaper to fix it myself or to take it to some other repair shop. Example: the thick vinyl on my glove box is peeling off; it was recommended that I replace it at a cost of over $500, as it was a known issue and almost impossible to fix (why, BMW, why?), or I could try a two part epoxy myself, or pay less for a fix at a local custom body shop. I've had many cars - some have been "luxury" and some not, but I've usually taken them to the dealership for servicing. For the most part, those dealerships have done their best to make it more appealing for me to bring my car to them, rather than taking it elsewhere or rigging a fix myself, even if it meant not charging to look into a problem, or finding me the cheapest price for parts (rather than me having to - the parts may be proprietary, but the prices are not). BMW may be the "ultimate driving machine," but their cars need a lot of tweaking, and a dealership can make the difference between that being a pleasure or a frustration. You pay a premium for high performance, and that performance should extend to the service you receive as well. More
