Legally questionable sales practices and service department I went to purchase a used 2013 toyota tundra. During the test drive the 4L and check engine lights appeared. I continued with the purchase agreement, I went to purchase a used 2013 toyota tundra. During the test drive the 4L and check engine lights appeared. I continued with the purchase agreement, with the understanding, the service department would correct the issue before the sale. I was told by the salesman, the service department had determined the error, and were fixing the issue. I decided to pay cash for the vehicle then the salesman informed me he would need to print different paperwork. During the time to print the paperwork. The service department reassessed the electrical problem and declared the vehicle un-saleable. I would avoid doing any business with this sales associate, the service department and central maine toyota. They clearly do not check over their used vehicle inventory, honor their sales agreements or respect their customers. They are trying to sell lemons and actively hiding the flaws. With an issue as complete as an entire rewiring of the vehicles electrical system, I find it suspicious this would magically materialize during a test drive. BUYERS BEWARE !!! More
