1st Part-Now I know why I had a very bad buying experience in Central Houston Nissan. I found out that unanimously it's a bad review and rating to them. This is my 3rd vehicle purchased. My first an experience in Central Houston Nissan. I found out that unanimously it's a bad review and rating to them. This is my 3rd vehicle purchased. My first and second was great with Toyota dealers but with Central Houston Nissan…guess what? This dealer is horrible. It took me 9 times back and forth to complete the deal.1st day:I came to see if the coupon from Internet sales manager of $279/mos. or zero downpayment is true!I I meet the salesman and offered 2 cars to chose.I thought those cars are good deal because of the said advertisement. He gave me the quotes and the monthly of what I ask was 2 times higher. I said I cant afford that. For me maximum is $350 then he said I will help you to get that.He ask me to fill out some papers and run the credit.Never ask me if I will buy the car. Just surprise me to wait the finance manager for paperworks.I turned down the deal due to overpriced. 2020 Used Nissan Kicks total price is 26K finance for $580 per month for 75mos +$2K downpayment more expensive than my 2022 Brand new Toyota Corolla LE which I pay for only $480 per month + 0 downpayment.Manager is so angry and ask me who told you for only $350? I said the salesman. Then he walk out to find the salesmans. I follow him outside and talk to salesman then I ask him that I will go home and send my moneyback. Before I go home they offer for only $480/mos.I said No! We will buy a new car next year.2nd day:They call and text me that they have the same Kicks but silver color & sent to me the pics of the car for only $380 per month.I said sounds good,I will come to see and check the car.I arrived at the dealer & the car is in the shop for cleaning because it's so dirty especially the interior there's an animal hair.Exterior with dent and some scratches. They told me that,it will be look brand new after the works and washing.I just keep my mouth closed because I know it's a lie. The Kicks trim was S not SV as they told me it's the same.I went home and cameback at night to check.Looks brandnew outside but some scratch & dent.I can’t see inside because it’s dark. Now we come to see the Manager office for contract signing. It's not $380 instead $408 but it's okay.I thought everything is done but they told me to comeback within 2days for emission test.My God they sold the car but the test isn’t done! I drove home the car knowing that the SRS warning light is on. It is ilegal for a dealer to sell a car with SRS warning light on.I informed and sent to them the pictures but no response. So I cameback on the 3rd day for inspection. They promise to finish in 2hours but no!They let me to borrow the other car to go home.4th day:I call them if the car is ready and they reply yes the car is ready!I arrived at the dealer and the inspection is not yet finish!I found out that the car did not pass the emmision test.So I drove home the other car again and wait for their call. Before that I texted the salesman I prefer another car because I know the car is not in good condition.5th day:I texted them again that I prefer another car but they insisted that the car is ready.I went to dealer to get the car and remind him about the problem and he promise to change the car when there is an available with the same price. 6thday:temporary plate expired. They ask me to come to change tag.I informed them about the warning SRS light is still on and I want to change the car. They promise me to change when there is available.Few days later..They texted me and ask for my latest proof of income and also to my wife.I sent to them and after next day they call me to sign again together with my wife.7th day: They call me if I can come to sign the contract.I said no because my wife has work until 7pm.they told you can come and sign and we'll call your wife if you could sign on behalf of her.I arrived at dealer and the manager ask, where is you wife?I said she's at work.He told me that both of us will sign.I just waste my time.8th day.-to be cont More
I traded in my Infiniti almost three weeks ago. I see the car listed on their website for sale, but it still has a lien on it. I called the bank to see if they have received the payoff amount. Nope I see the car listed on their website for sale, but it still has a lien on it. I called the bank to see if they have received the payoff amount. Nope. Nothing. I've tried calling Central Houston's finance department and of course, no answer, and a "This mailbox is full" message. My bank said they should have already received the payoff funds since the trade in took place weeks ago. Be careful when trading in with a balance still due on your trade. The sales people are nice and accommodating when you are there, but once you have signed those papers...you may be on the hook. More
I came to Central Houston Nissan in response to REPEATED advertisements for year end sales and deals. The dealership advertisement said they would do whatever it takes to earn our business online. Your guy advertisements for year end sales and deals. The dealership advertisement said they would do whatever it takes to earn our business online. Your guy Rigo, in used car sales (management?), believes customers are not allowed to ask questions, add, subtract or challenge on their own, when it comes to the dealerships numbers, but gets amnesia or better yet, forgets how to add when it comes to the customers incentives. I had to correct him twice when it came down to the determined value of my vehicle plus the 3k dollar dealer incentive. I already knew what was going on but I played along. So, I decided to play along back. I wanted to help Rigo so that he understood I knew what was going on. They try to get you familiar with incorrect numbers so that they can pencil them in. The more money the company makes, by hook or by crook, the more money we/ consumers lose. This is poor and unprofessional practice as an employee of Nissan. I know the dealership has to make money, I’m ok with that, but I don’t like being played for a fool over a car I don’t need. As a customer, I’m also ok with not agreeing on a deal, but when you significantly overvalue cars you’re selling and undervalue ours, I/ we feel cheated. Rigo represented himself as a military man but didn’t know his own army creed claiming he forgot so I had to remind him as an Air Force Veteran, not Army. I’m not sure about the military status of this guy. At the conclusion of my visit, because I refused to accept the inflated numbers on the sales transaction, he calls me by way of Desmond the sales representative and decides to tell me he doesn’t want our business if I don’t take their deal and hangs up on me. I feel sorry for employees like Desmond and the like who must make a living in this kind of environment. He will eventually become what he sees practiced if he has not already done so. Unfortunately, I'm sure he has. I saw some shadiness in Desmond as well, but I overlooked it because he's just a messenger and employee. I really don't think auto sales was intended to be like this. I need a REAL MANAGER to call me asap and apologize because I will no longer be doing business with Central Houston Nissan Used Car Sales. More

I made a 2:30pm appointment with the sales manager to test drive. I drove in from Brenham, Texas. When I got there he went to get the car and came back and said it was sold at 1:33pm unbeknownst to him to someone from San Antonio and did I want to test drive another vehicle. I read the 34 reviews about them using this tactic and the reviews were all correct. Needless to say, I filed complaints with the FTC and the BBB because this particular vehicle is still listed as available and for sale on their website one week later. More
Beware of Misleading Pricing Tactics at Central Houston Nissan I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Central Houston Nissan that I feel compelled to share. My interaction with this d Nissan I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Central Houston Nissan that I feel compelled to share. My interaction with this dealership was centered around a 2020 Honda Civic Sport (Stock#: P9603), advertised at a price of $21,870 on Auto Trader. From the onset, the dealership presented itself as customer-focused, boasting of quality vehicles and exceptional service. However, my experience was far from their advertised vision and mission. After speaking with several sales agents and much back-and-forth, I was finally given a final price - a baffling $24,400. This was significantly higher than the advertised price, with no clear justification for the increase. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the explanation I received was not only unsatisfactory but also misleading. I was told that the price listed on Auto Trader was a wholesale price, a detail conveniently omitted from the advertisement and one that was never clarified during our initial discussions. Furthermore, I was informed that this 'wholesale price' was exclusive to dealers, rendering me ineligible for the advertised price. This practice, in my view, is a classic example of bait-and-switch tactics, where a lower price is advertised to draw customers in, only to be switched to a higher price at the point of sale. It is misleading and, frankly, unacceptable for a dealership that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction and transparency. While I am not in a position to formally accuse Central Houston Nissan of breaking specific laws, it's clear that their advertising and sales practices are highly questionable and deserve scrutiny. As a potential buyer, I felt misled and undervalued. This experience has significantly diminished my trust in their business practices and commitment to customer service. To fellow consumers: exercise caution and vigilance when dealing with Central Houston Nissan. It's essential to be aware of the possibility of such pricing tactics and to ensure that you have all the necessary information before making a purchase decision. Certainly. When discussing legal precedents related to false advertising, it's important to understand the general legal framework that governs these practices. In the United States, false advertising is regulated at both the federal and state levels. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is the primary agency that oversees and enforces advertising laws and guidelines. Key Legal Precedents and Laws Governing False Advertising: 1. **Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act)**: This act prohibits unfair or deceptive acts in commerce, which includes advertising. Under the FTC Act, an advertisement is considered deceptive if it contains a statement or omits information that: - Is likely to mislead consumers acting reasonably under the circumstances; and - Is "material" - that is, important to a consumer's decision to buy or use the product. 2. **Lanham Act**: This act provides a civil lawsuit avenue for businesses harmed by false advertising. If a company's advertising falsely misrepresents its own product or a competitor's, the competitor can sue for damages under the Lanham Act. 3. **State Consumer Protection Laws**: Most states have their own laws against deceptive advertising, often enforced by the state's attorney general. These laws can vary but generally follow the principles set by the FTC. 4. **Case Law**: Various court cases have helped define what constitutes false advertising. For instance, the case of *POM Wonderful LLC v. Coca-Cola Co.* (2014) highlighted the importance of truthful representation in product labeling. 5. **Bait-and-Switch Advertising**: This specific type of false advertising is where a company advertises a product at a low price to attract customers but then pressures them to purchase a more expensive item. This practice is generally considered deceptive unless the advertisement clearly and conspicuous More
